  • Patent number: 7272329
Abstract: An image forming apparatus comprises a main body having a mounting portion and a sensing portion disposed on one sidewall of the mounting portion. A developing unit assembly has a plurality of developing units and a contacting portion is disposed on one of the developing units. The contacting portion selectively contacts the sensing portion. The bottom surface of the mounting portion is declined to block the contacting portion from contacting the sensing portion prior to the installation of all of the developing units on the mounting portion. The angle of the bottom surface becomes larger when going towards the interior of the mounting portion. The contacting portion is installed on only one developing unit, but whether the other developing units are mounted can be sensed by using the contacting portion, thereby avoiding the use of multiple contacting portions. An image forming apparatus fabricated with this structure is smaller, simpler, and has reduced manufacturing costs.

  • Publication number: 20060078362
Abstract: A paper arranging device includes a driving roller and an idle roller disposed adjacent to each other to form a nip, a first sensor to sense a location of moving paper, and a lever having a first end which extends to a perimeter of the nip to block a tip of the paper moving toward the nip and the other end which extends to a perimeter of the sensor, the lever being rotatable with respect to a predetermined pivot axis between the first end and the second end of the lever. When the first end of the lever is pressed by the tip of the moving paper and reaches a first position, the first sensor determines that the tip of the paper is entering the nip and generates a first sensing signal. When the first end of the lever is pressed by the tip of the moving paper and reaches a second position at which the paper has proceeded farther than at the first position, the first sensor determines that the tip of the paper passes through the nip and generates a second sensing signal.

  • Patent number: 6299161
Abstract: Disclosed is an apparatus for guiding a paper for printing, which includes guide arms for guiding the paper carried between a transferring device and a fixing device. In the apparatus for guiding the paper for printing, the guide arms are mounted and spaced at a width of the paper from each other between the transferring device and the fixing device so as to guide the paper with being in contact with non-image portions of which a surface of the paper has an image formed thereon.

  • Patent number: 6030127
Abstract: A guider assembly for a rotary component idles about a given point on a shaft, and the shaft has a race at both sides of an idling space in which the rotary component is turned. A guider of the assembly has tension ribs held in the race for allowing the rotary component to idle about a predetermined point on the shaft. In addition, in the inventive guider assembly, the shaft has a race formed at both sides thereof and on a part of its outer surface, and the guider has a shaft hole into which the shaft fits, and tension ribs formed at one side of the shaft hole and held in the race.
