  • Patent number: 5511983
Abstract: An image generating apparatus for preparing a drawing using an image display apparatus. The image generating apparatus has a power source turn-on detection unit for instructing starting of an image forming program for forming a series of consecutive images previously stored in a ROM. When the power turn-on detection unit detects power source turn-on, a power turn-on detection signal is transmitted via an I/O interface to a central processing unit, which then reads a demonstration program from the ROM to start displaying the demonstration image on a display. When the coordinate detection unit and the key switch pressing detecting unit detect the pressure information on buttons on a tablet and key switches, the pressure information is transmitted via the I/O interface to the central processing unit.

  • Patent number: 5451178
Abstract: An auditory playing device has a plurality of circular or polygonal tone plates marked with respective identification codes. Each of the tone plates has concentric dark and bright stripes that are placed, one at a time, in a recess defined in a casing substantially in any direction with respect to the recess. The casing houses an array of detectors disposed in the recess for detecting the identification code on the tone plate that is placed in the recess. A microcomputer determines whether a tone plate is placed in the recess based on signals from the detectors. When one of the tone plates is placed in the recess, the microcomputer controls a loudspeaker to produce a sound represented by the identification code on the tone plate placed in the recess. The auditory playing device can easily be handled by children and is effective to train them for sharpening their auditory senses.

  • Patent number: 5442378
Abstract: An animation image construction apparatus for producing animated pictures on a CRT screen of a display unit in a television receiver, wherein a desired scroll direction can be designated with respect to each of individual characters displayed on the screen, so that an expressive motion can be given to any picture drawn on the screen to consequently ensure remarkable visual effects and pleasure for the user. Furthermore, the front and rear positional relation between the displayed characters to be mutually superimposed can be designated in the scroll mode, whereby the pictures produced on the screen are so processed as to have a visual depth in addition to the expressive motion with the visual effects and pleasure offered to the user.
