  • Patent number: 5654047
Abstract: An explosion-proof porcelain housing for use in a gas-filled insulating apparatus, comprising a porcelain housing body, and a first and second films. The first film is made of a first insulating material having low hardness and high elasticity, and is bonded to an inner surface of the porcelain housing body. The second film is made of a second insulating material having high hardness and high mechanical strength, and is bonded to an inner surface of the first film. A process for producing such an explosion-proof porcelain housing is also disclosed.

  • Patent number: 5475050
Abstract: A frosting agent in which particulate silica suspends with high dispersibility without lowering the flow-out and formability of an aqueous polyurethane as a binder of frosting coating agent. Such a frosting agent for use in an aqueous polyurethane is obtained by adding 0.5-5.0 parts by weight of .gamma.-ureidopropyltriethoxysilane and 0.1 part by weight or more of water to 100 parts by weight of particulate silica and reacting said substances at a temperature of 15.degree.-100.degree. C. to modify the surface of said particulate silica. By this reaction, .gamma.-ureidopropylsilane liberated by hydrolysis of ethoxysilane groups reacts with acid hydroxy groups. Thus, the wettability and compatibility of the frosting agent with respect to aqueous polyurethane increases. This improves the dispersibility and the resistance to scuff of the coating.

  • Patent number: 5326601
Abstract: A resin laminate for coating of glass comprises (A) an inner coating layer formed with a resin composition comprising a styrene-butadiene copolymer latex and polyvinylpyrrolidone and (B) an outer coating layer formed with a resin composition comprising an aqueous polyurethane, an aqueous epoxy resin, an aqueous amino resin and a surface active agent containing halogen.By forming two coating layers of the resin laminate on the surface of a glass container such as a glass bottle and a window pane, the scattering of the broken pieces of glass can be prevented when the glass container or the glass pane is broken. The coating layers are not separated from the surface of the glass or swollen during the alkaline washing of the glass bottle and the like and thus are very useful for practical application.

  • Patent number: 5234713
Abstract: In a method of lining resins on an inner surface of a porcelain housing, the porcelain housing having a tapered shape is rotated about a rotation axis in such a manner that the rotation axis of a side having a larger inner diameter is inclined upward with respect to a horizontal line, and an inclination angle and/or a rotation number are controlled in accordance with an inner diameter of the porcelain housing corresponding to a nozzle position, and resins are sprayed or flowed on the inner surface of the porcelain housing from a nozzle during rotations of the porcelain housing.

  • Patent number: 4476670
Abstract: A conveying tool comprises a funnel-shaped hopper and a tubular conveying part connected to the bottom of and hanging downward from the hopper, the conveying part comprising one unit section or a plurality of unit sections detachably connected end-to-end, each unit section comprising a pair of opposed and spaced-apart, rectangular main sheets and a pair of opposed rectangular side sheets with vertical edges secured to respective vertical edges of the main sheets thereby to form a tubular structure. The main sheets possess elasticity and flexibility and have, on the inner surfaces thereof, a large number of elastic projecting members, and the side sheets possess flexibility and are more pliable than the main sheets. Picked fruit dropped into the hopper are braked in their descent by the elastic projecting members and the inner wall surface of the conveying part and are thereby slowly lowered without damage to a container on the ground or on a vehicle.
