  • Publication number: 20050220789
Abstract: Described are generally a T cell immune response cDNA 7 (TIRC7) encoding a novel T-cell transmembrane protein as well as peptides und polypeptides derived therefrom and antibodies recognizing said (poly)peptides. More particularly, peptide and polypeptide as well as antibodies being capable of inhibiting T-cell stimulation through the T-cell membrane protein (TIRC7) are provided. Furthermore, vectors comprising the aforementioned polynucleotides and host cells transformed therewith as well as their use in the production of the above-defined proteins, peptides or polypeptides are described. Additionally, pharmaceutical and diagnostic compositions are provided comprising any one of the afore described polynucleotide, vector, protein, peptide, polypeptide, or antibody. Furthermore, methods and uses for modulating immune responses through the novel TIRC7 membrane protein as well as pharmaceutical compositions comprising agents which act on the TIRC7 membrane protein or its ligand are described.

  • Publication number: 20050221424
Abstract: Provided are bispecific molecules that are characterized by having at least a first binding domain which binds T-cell immune response cDNA 7 (TIRC7) and a second binding domain which binds HLA-(Human Leukocyte associated Antigen); and optionally comprising further functional domains. Furthermore, compositions comprising said bispecific molecules and their use in methods of diagnosis and treating immune response related and other diseases including tumors are described.

  • Publication number: 20050118178
Abstract: A novel use of T-cell immune response cDNA 7 (TIRC7) in angiogenic and anti-angiogenic therapy is described. Provided are agents such as anti-TIRC7 antibodies and methods of treatment which through modulating the activity of TIRC7 can be used for enhancing or suppressing angiogenesis and/or neovascularization, an important feature in many pathological conditions including wound healing, solid tumors, developing metastases, ischemic heart diseases and diabetic retinopathy. Furthermore, diagnostic methods for the detection of such diseases using TIRC7 specific agents are provided.

  • Publication number: 20050048067
Abstract: Provided are peptides capable of inhibiting proliferation of peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs) derived from HLA class II alpha 2 chain. Furthermore, peptides capable of inhibiting proliferation of peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs) derived from T-cell immune response cDNA7 (TIRC7) costimulatory molecule are described. Compositions comprising such peptides and their use for the treatment of immune diseases are provided.

  • Publication number: 20040072780
Abstract: Provided are uses of agents interfering with the interaction of TIRC7 with its ligand such as HLA-(Human Leukocyte associated Antigen) class II alpha (&agr;) chain for the preparation of pharmaceutical compositions for the treatment of graft versus host disease, autoimmune diseases, allergic diseases, infectious diseases, sepsis, for the treatment of tumors, for the improvement of wound healing or for inducing or maintaining immune unresponsiveness in a subject. In addition, methods for identifying and obtaining such agents are described. Furthermore, methods of diagnosing an immune disease or a tumor by determining the presence or absence of TIRC7 ligand are provided.

  • Publication number: 20030166599
Abstract: Described are pharmaceutical compositions comprising polynucleotides encoding TGAP7 protein or a biologically fragment thereof. Furthermore, pharmaceutical compositions are described which comprise vectors comprising the aforementioned polynucleotides and/or host cells transformed therewith. Additionally, pharmaceutical compositions comprising antisense constructs to be aforementioned polynucleotides are described. Furthermore, methods and uses for modulating immune responses through the TGAP7 protein as well as pharmaceutical compositions comprising agents which act on the TGAP7 protein are described. Also, the use of said polynucleotide, vector, protein or antibody for the preparation of diagnostic and pharmaceutical compositions for use, inter alia, in organ transplantation, for the treatment of autoimmune, allergic or infectious diseases, or for treatment of tumors is provided.
