An override lever is disposed the third hinge and coupled with the pawl lever and configured to restrict the pawl lever via a hinge. An override link is hinged to the override level of a first protrusion and coupled with the exterior level by a second protrusion and a control portion is configured to restrict operation of the override lever.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a trunk lid latch assembly for a vehicle that includes a valet parking switch. A trunk lid switch in the vehicle's interior operates a gear that releases a latch to unlock the trunk lid. The valet parking switch is positioned such that when it is in the off position, it engages the gear with the latch, allowing the latch to be released. When the valet parking switch is in the on position, it is disengaged with the gear so that, even if a trunk lid switch is operated, the latch does not release to unlock the trunk.

Abstract: A trunk lid latch assembly provides an emergency release of a locked trunk from within. Therefore, if a person becomes trapped within the trunk, the trunk can be unlocked from within and the person can escape. The trunk lid latch assembly also provides operation of a trunk lamp for illuminating the inside of the trunk space.

Abstract: A center channel having H-shaped cross section is attached to a chassis of a door and to a door panel of a vehicle. The center channel is fixed to the door chassis and panel by upper and lower brackets fixed thereto. The upper bracket is L-shaped and extends laterally from the upper end of the center channel wherein an engagement portion of the upper bracket is generally parallel to a side wall of a glass run channel of the door chassis. The upper bracket is fixed to the door chassis by a screw through the glass run channel, the door chassis and the upper bracket engagement portion.
