Abstract: An apparatus and method for outputting audio signals of a portable communication device are provided. The apparatus includes a plurality of audio tables including different volume control values or tone control values, and allows a user to selectively set audio tables corresponding to each of audio paths equipped with the portable communication device. Further, the apparatus analyzes a surrounding environment during a voice call, determines the absence or presence of noise, and suitably controls a volume or a tone of audio signals based on the result of the determination before outputting the audio signals. Accordingly, the apparatus can provide an improved calling condition in various calling environments.

Abstract: An electronic device for cancelling noise using a plurality of microphones is provided. The electronic device includes a plurality of microphones configured to obtain audio signals; a beamformer configured to provide, through a speaker, at least two audio signals selected on a basis of at least one of user information, external environment information, and information on an application executed the electronic device, among the obtained audio signals; and noise canceller configured to cancel at least some of the other audio signals determined on the basis of at least some of the selected audio signals, among the obtained audio signals.

The electronic includes a camera module and a processor configured to capture at least one image of an object using the camera module, obtain a sound using a microphone operably connected to the processor when the at least one image is captured, determine whether the sound is related to the object, when the sound is determined to be unrelated to the object, change at least one attribute of the sound and store the changed at least one attribute of the sound.

The electronic device includes a plurality of microphones, a memory configured to store a first specified time set to form a beam in a first direction using the plurality of microphones, and a processor connected to the plurality of microphones and configured to receive a sound using the plurality of microphones, determine a direction corresponding to the received sound, and if the direction is equivalent to a second direction, associate a second specified time to the received sound as if a beam is formed in the second direction using the plurality of microphones.

Abstract: An apparatus and a method thereof, processes a voice signal of a mobile terminal in a mobile communication system. The apparatus to process a received-voice signal received through a wireless channel in a mobile terminal includes a digital signal processing unit to generate an encoded packet and frame type information defining a characteristic of the encoded packet by performing voice encoding on an audible signal input from a microphone. The apparatus also includes a received-voice controlling unit to determine a noise level in consideration of the frame type information and a level of the audible signal, and to control at least one of a tone and a volume of a received voice by the determined noise level.
