  • Patent number: 7650062
Abstract: Pictures are captured, and thereby moving-picture data is generated which represents a sequence of moving-picture fields. At least one picture is captured, and thereby still-picture data is generated which represents at least one still-picture frame corresponding in picture capture timing to one of the moving-picture fields represented by the moving-picture data. Components which correspond to said one of the moving-picture fields are removed from the still-picture data to generate supplementary still-picture information. • Patent number: 4524389
Abstract: In a synchronous video detector circuit using a phase-locked loop, the synchronous detection of a video IF signal is effected with a synchronous carrier signal reproduced by the PLL including a voltage-controlled oscillator. Each of a phase comparator of the PLL and a synchronous video detector has its input terminal connected to an output terminal of a video IF amplifier by untuned coupling, and arranged on the output side of the synchronous video detector is a phase-locked mode detector for detecting that the PLL is in its phase-locked mode. The phase-locked mode detector is adapted to control the band width of a low-pass filter of the PLL in either a narrow band mode or a wide band mode and the low-pass filter is controlled to operate in the narrow band mode only when the PLL is in the phase-locked mode of operation.

  • Patent number: 4158211
Abstract: An automatic local oscillation frequency control apparatus for a television receiver is disclosed, wherein a video intermediate frequency (VIF) signal is applied to an FM discriminator for generating an AFC voltage through a phase shifter comprised of a serial-parallel resonance circuit, and one of the serial resonance frequency and the parallel resonance frequency of the serial-parallel resonance circuit is selected to be a frequency near a picture carrier frequency while the other is selected to be a frequency which is made by subtracting one half of a differential frequency between the picture carrier frequency and a sound carrier frequency from the picture carrier frequency. The present apparatus can attain an automatic frequency control having a wide pull-in range and a wide hold range.

  • Patent number: 4122491
Abstract: Apparatus for demodulating color difference signals from a chroma signal in a color television receiver set includes first and second differential amplifiers and a matrix circuit comprising a constant current circuit. Output terminals of the differential amplifiers and the matrix circuit are connected to a power supply through load resistors of the same resistance, respectively, through which D.C. currents of the same magnitude are passed. Resistors for combining signals are connected to the load resistors, and a common chroma signal is applied to the first and second differential amplifiers while sub-carriers of different phase are applied to the first and second differential amplifiers to effect synchronous detection to demodulate color difference signals of different demodulation axes across the load resistor. With this arrangement, a plurality of stable color difference signals of uniform D.C.

  • Patent number: 4121243
Abstract: A color signal processing apparatus, particularly a circuit for generating a color sub-carrier wave for demodulation, used in a color television receiver set to demodulate a carrier color signal to reproduce a color image, is disclosed. The apparatus comprises an oscillation circuit including four differential amplifiers to synthesize oscillation signals having phases which differ 90.degree. from each other to produce a color subcarrier wave, a color-phase adjusting circuit for changing phases of the oscillation signals from the oscillation circuit by changing bias voltages of the differential amplifiers, and a phase detection circuit for comparing the phases of the oscillation signals having the phases changed by the color phase adjusting circuit with a phase of a color burst signal to change the bias voltages of the differential amplifiers in the oscillation circuit depending on the comparison.
