    Abstract: Provided is a synthesis process for a chiral cyclopropyl ethynyl tertiary alcohol compound, where a chiral amino alcohol or a chiral amino diol is reacted in the presence of an alkaline reagent and a salt to obtain an optically active propynyl alcohol compound. In particular, the process includes (1) reacting cyclopropyl acetylene with a chiral inducing agent, a chiral auxiliary reagent and zinc halide in an organic solvent in the presence of an alkaline reagent and a sulfonate or a sulphinate to obtain a first reaction mixture; (2) reacting the resultant first reaction mixture with 5-chloro-2-aminotrifluorobenzophenone to form (S)-2-amino-5-chloro-?-cyclopropyl acetylene-?-trifluoromethylbenzyl alcohol. The process avoids an organic zinc reagent and a Grignard reagent, and has the advantages of safe production, an environmentally friendly route, low production costs, a high resultant product yield, a high chiral ee value and is suitable for industrial production.

    Abstract: Closed loop control of a multimedia system may be achieved with a control space that includes at least two control axes. In each control axis, a coordinate on the axis may indicate a degree to which a multimedia scene facilitates or is perceived to facilitate a user state or a degree to which the user state is achieved. For example, the two control axes may be focus and restoration. A user may provide input that specifies a target state. The target state may be different than, or the same as, the user's current state. The system may select a scene that has coordinates, in the control space, that are closest, by at least a threshold, to the target state, and present the scene to the user. Sensors in the system may measure a user state that results from presenting the scene. The system may revise the scene's coordinates accordingly.

By use of the disclosure, the spectrum allocation can be implemented during the system reconfiguration, and interference can be effectively suppressed.

    Abstract: The present invention relates to a technology for managing discontinuous reception (DRX). DRX cycles of different cycle lengths are configured according to service types of UE. If it is identified that the user equipment (UE) initiates a voice service, a relatively short first long DRX cycle is configured for the UE or the UE is instructed to deactivate DRX; and if it is identified that the UE does not perform a voice service, a relatively long second long DRX cycle is configured for the UE. The UE performs corresponding receiver on/off control according to the configured long DRX cycle, so as to receive downlink data or hibernate. According to the solution provided in the present invention, a DRX cycle of UE can be flexibly configured, so that a better balance between power consumption reduction of the UE and user experience improvement can be achieved.

The input is indicative of a value for each control variable in a set of separate control variables. A computer analyzes the input and outputs control signals to specify a set of separate setpoints. Dimmers adjust the intensity or color of a set of luminaires according to the setpoints. The number of separate control variables is much less than the number of separate setpoints. Having a human control a small number of control variables, in order to control a much larger number of separate luminaire setpoints of luminaires, has at least two advantages: control is faster and control is more intuitive. In illustrative implementations, the luminaire setpoints that are being controlled are not functions of each other.
