  • Patent number: 5586495
Abstract: A transfer press, capable of being easily transported, capable of being adjusted flexibly to changes in specifications, and capable of eliminating the idling of the transfer feeder, has a body (1) which is divided into a bed (2), uprights (3) provided vertically upon the bed, a pair of supporting beams (4) provided upon the uprights and disposed in spaced relationship with each other in a horizontal direction perpendicular to the direction in which a workpiece is fed, and a plurality of pressing units (5) each of which is independently provided for a respective one of a plurality of pressing operations. Each of the pressing units (5) comprises a crown (6) accommodating a slide-driving mechanism (8), and a slide (7). The crowns (6), provided for the individual pressing operations, are removably mounted upon the supporting beams (4). Slide guides (12) for guiding the vertical motion of the slides (7) are also provided on the supporting beams (4).

  • Patent number: 4607732
Abstract: In a crank or eccentric press a main shaft is rotatably supported over a reciprocating ram or rams. Nonrotatably mounted on one end of the main shaft, a drive gear meshes directly with a drive pinion on a drive shaft which partly projects out of one side of the drive housing and which has a driving flywheel mounted on the projecting end. The other end of the main shaft is geared to a brake shaft having a portion projecting out of the other side of the drive housing and having a brake mounted thereon. Within the drive housing one or more axially spaced pairs of main pinions are fixedly mounted on the main shaft. Each pair of main pinions are in mesh with two pairs of main gears rotatable about fixed axes. Each main gear has a crankpin projecting therefrom and operatively coupled to the ram. This drive system makes possible the reduction of the height of the press.

  • Patent number: 4417511
Abstract: A moving bolster arrangement for a transfer press having three uprights defining a first and a second press station therebetween. The arrangement includes first and second left side moving bolsters and first and second right side moving bolsters, each adapted to move into and out of first and second press stations. Each moving bolster has a motor mounted thereon for driving the same. Motors mounted on the first and second left side moving bolsters are connected to a single power source through electric cables while motors mounted on the first and second right side moving bolsters are connected to another single power source through electric cables.

  • Patent number: 4165685
Abstract: A mechanical link press comprising a bed, a pair of side frames extending upwardly from the both ends of said bed sandwiched therebetween, a crown sandwiched by said pair of side frames at the upper ends thereof, a slide adapted to move up and down guided by said pair of side frames, a pair of main drive shafts rotatably mounted to said pair of side frames respectively, and a pair of linkages arranged within said side frames for drivingly connecting said main drive shafts with said slide, said linkages being adapted to convert the rotational motion of said main drive shafts to a linear motion of said slide.
