  • Publication number: 20220355662
Abstract: A fuel tank unit may include a fuel tank, a canister configured to adsorb and desorb vapor generated in the fuel tank, a vapor conduit communicating the fuel tank with the canister, and a full tank fuel level limiting valve device connected to a fuel tank-side end of the vapor conduit. The full tank fuel level limiting valve device includes a full tank fuel level limiting valve and an actuator. The full tank fuel level limiting valve includes a float that is configured to float due to a buoyancy force of fuel in the fuel tank so as to close the full tank fuel level limiting valve when the fuel tank is filled up. The actuator includes a valve closure prevention member that is configured to move and press the float when the actuator is activated, so as to prevent the float from moving in a valve closing direction.

  • Publication number: 20210270213
Abstract: A leakage diagnosis device is configured to detect leakage from a fuel vapor processing apparatus based on the internal pressure thereof. The fuel vapor processing apparatus includes a fuel tank and a canister in fluid communication with each other via a vapor passage. The leakage diagnosis device includes a negative pressure generator configured to generate a negative pressure therein to move gas from the canister to the fuel tank via a bypass passage. The vapor passage has an electrically controlled closing valve and a first mechanical check valve that are arranged in parallel. The first mechanical check valve is configured to be opened without electrical control to allow the fluid flow from the fuel tank to the canister. The bypass passage has a second mechanical check valve configured to be opened without electrical control to allow the fluid flow from the canister to the fuel tank.

  • Publication number: 20210131906
Abstract: A leak detection apparatus performing leak detection with suppressing energy consumption includes a leak detection section performing the leak detection of detecting occurrence or non-occurrence of purge gas leakage in an evaporative-emission pipe based on a tank inside pressure measured by a pressure sensor by evaporating a fuel, which has been atomized by an atomizer or an ultrasonic wave generator, by a heater in a state in which the evaporative emission pipe is air-tightly sealed by a purge valve and an atmosphere open/close valve.

  • Publication number: 20210062768
Abstract: An evaporated fuel processing device configured to supply purge gas into an intake passage through which air to be suctioned into an engine passes. The evaporated fuel processing device may include a canister in which the purge gas including evaporated fuel is generated; a purge pump configured to discharge the purge gas toward the intake passage from the canister; a measurement unit configured to measure a temperature of the purge gas discharged from the purge pump; an estimation unit configured to estimate a temperature of the purge gas to be discharged from the purge pump based on an index other than the temperature measured by the measurement unit; and a controller. The controller may be configured to compare the measured temperature measured by the measurement unit with a reference temperature that is higher by a predetermined degree than the temperature estimated by the estimation unit.

  • Patent number: 8801840
Abstract: An evaporated fuel treating device lowers the blow-by volume of evaporated fuel emitted to the atmosphere via a casing having an atmospheric port. The casing has in series a first adsorbent chamber housing an adsorbent material, a space chamber not housing an adsorbent material and a second adsorbent chamber housing an adsorbent material. Each of the chambers is positioned beside an adjacent chamber thereof. The first chamber is disposed closest to the atmospheric port among the adsorbent chambers. An end part of the space chamber on a side of the first chamber has a first partition wall having an opening part with a plurality of first openings provided on a top side of the first partition wall. A current plate has one end positioned between the adjacent first openings and a surface and a rear face of the current plate are disposed along the top and bottom direction.
