  • Patent number: 7391443
Abstract: An information processing apparatus, an information processing method and a medium which allow accurate control of an image pickup timing based on a result of image recognition with a simple construction. An image pickup section outputs picked up image data to an image recognition section and a delaying section. The image recognition section performs image recognition for the image data inputted thereto and, when it detects predetermined information from among the image data, outputs a trigger signal to an image fetching section to fetch an image. The delaying section delays the image data inputted thereto from the image recognition section to compensate for a delay corresponding to a time required for the image recognition by the image recognition section and outputs resulting image data to the image fetching section.

  • Patent number: 6980236
Abstract: The invention relates to an apparatus and a method for information processing allowing a personal computer to pick up an image through operation of a single button. When a half-push switch is turned on, a CPU activates a window of an image pickup application program, causing the window to appear in front of the windows of all other application programs. An image displayed in the window of the image pickup application program is held still even if a personal computer is altered in its orientation. When a full-push switch is turned on, the image in the window of the image pickup application program is stored onto an HDD in a suitable format.

  • Patent number: 6959071
Abstract: Disclosed herein are a phone-call apparatus, a phone-call method, a communication control apparatus, a communication control method, and a program. In a phone-integrated terminal, a CPU controls a communication unit to implement a phone conversation with a communication partner through a communication network. An audio signal input to a microphone of an input unit is transmitted to the communication partner by way of the communication unit. On the other hand, an audio signal transmitted from the communication partner is output to earphones or a speaker in an audio reproduction unit. The audio signal output to the earphones or the speaker in the audio reproduction unit is superposed on a musical signal reproduced from a memory card. Thus, the user can listen to not only a voice of the communication partner but also music reproduced as BGM during the phone conversation. As a result, the user can enjoy the phone conversation.

  • Patent number: 6896935
Abstract: A method of forming a coating on an inner periphery of a tube with a cylindrical barrel, a mouth on one axial end of the barrel, and a shoulder located between the barrel and the mouth. The method involves holding the tube, and subsequently jetting powder into the tube from a spray gun, through a bottom side opening on the other axial end of said barrel. A first passage guides to the spray gun a first air stream together with the powder. A second passage feeds to the spray gun a second air stream with the powder. A third passage suction collects surplus powder through the tube mouth. A fourth passage suction collects surplus powder through the bottom side opening of the tube. At least one of the passages is subject to a feedback control such that flow rate and/or internal pressure therein are maintained at target levels.

  • Publication number: 20040186594
Abstract: An arrangement in which plural users read a preset picture at different places and in which the attention of the users is directed in real-time to the picture. To this end, a picture management server 2 supervises an album made up by plural pictures. In the so supervised album, an URL is allocated to each picture. In case a PC 4-1 and a PC 4-2 acquire album data from the picture management server 2, plural pictures, derived from the album data, are demonstrated on respective display units. When a cursor of the PC 4-1, so far located on a preset picture, is moved, the URL of the picture of the destination of the movement is transmitted to the PC 4-2. The PC 4-2 causes movement of the cursor to the picture associated with the URL received. The arrangement may be applied to a personal computer configured for reading a digitized album or to a server supervising the album.

  • Patent number: 6795097
Abstract: According to the present invention, when displaying a jog-dial window menu on a liquid crystal display, hierarchically-structured menu items are displayed with a hierarchy icon, thereby enabling the user to easily recognize whether or not that menu item is hierarchically structured and improving the operation of menu selection. Furthermore, scroll display of a character string indicating a menu item is performed in an identification frame, thereby enabling the user to read the entire character string from beginning to end for easy recognition thereof and improving the operation of menu selection. Still further, a character string of a menu selected from among a plurality of menu items is displayed in a different color from other character strings, thereby enabling the user to easily recognize the selected menu item and improving the operation of menu selection.
