  • Publication number: 20150030038
Abstract: The present technology relates to a synchronization processing device, a synchronization processing method, and a program, which make it possible to achieve frequency synchronization in a shorter period of time. A jitter amount calculation unit calculates a jitter amount on the basis of a synchronization packet containing time information. A jitter amount accumulation unit calculates a cumulative value of the jitter amount calculated by the jitter amount calculation unit. A comparison unit outputs a frequency error correction value from the calculated cumulative value of the jitter amount. A control voltage generation unit outputs a frequency control voltage based on the frequency error correction value. The present technology can be applied to a receiver device that is time-synchronized with a transmission device, for example.

  • Patent number: 6034727
Abstract: Focus control is provided by estimating an estimation value by extracting a high-frequency component of a video signal for each focus lens position. The correct focus lens position for focusing a target object is determined as that focus lens position where the estimation value for a plurality of conditions at a particular focus lens position becomes maximum. The estimation value is determined to be maximum when, for successive focus lens positions, the estimation value decreases continuously. The various conditions for imaging, according to an aspect of the focus control, includes the filter coefficients for extracting the high-frequency component of the video signal and the size of the windows from which the video signal is imaged.

  • Patent number: 5986844
Abstract: A playback speed control system for a reproducing apparatus allows a user to manually vary the playback speed of a recording medium. When a user rotates a dial of the reproducing apparatus, a frequency generator generates pulses with a frequency that matches the rotational speed of the dial. A counter counts these generated pulses within a specified time period. In one embodiment, the recording medium speed is kept constant over a particular range of dial rotational speeds, while outside this range, the tape speed varies in accordance with the dial rotational speed. In another embodiment, if the value of the count data exceeds a reference value, then these pulses are averaged, and the averaged result is used to determine the speed of the recording medium. If the count data value is less than the reference value, then this count data is used to determine the speed of the recording medium. In yet another embodiment, the generated pulses are averaged in accordance with one of a plurality of averaging techniques.
