  • Publication number: 20240144979
Abstract: A sorbent breather filter for an electronic device such as a hard disk drive (HDD) is configured with a first chamber for housing a first sorbent and environmentally coupled with an external environment via at least a first orifice and a second orifice, a corresponding replaceable first sorbent such as zeolite or silica gel beads in the first chamber, a second chamber adjacent to the first chamber for housing a second sorbent, and a corresponding second sorbent such as carbon beads in the second chamber. The first orifice is a through-hole such that the first sorbent can be loaded into the first chamber therethrough, and the second orifice is a slitted or grated hole such that the first sorbent cannot move from the first chamber to the external environment through the second orifice while loading sorbent into the first chamber through an HDD first cover breather hole.

  • Publication number: 20220001464
Abstract: A method of producing a drill has a step of preparing a workpiece to be processed to produce a drill, and a step of forming a ground groove. The workpiece has a cutting blade, a chip discharge flute helically extending, and a rake surface which have been formed therein. The drill is rotated around a drill axial center. The formation step rotates a rotary whetstone around its whetstone axial center, and grinds the rake surface to form the ground groove along the chip discharge flute. The formation step uses the rotary whetstone so that the whetstone axial center intersects a longitudinal direction of the chip discharge flute. The rotary whetstone has a rotating body shape projecting in a radial outward direction of the rotary whetstone axial center and around the rotary whetstone axial center.

  • Patent number: 8593161
Abstract: A contact detection apparatus that allows faster detection and a pinch prevention apparatus equipped with such a detection apparatus are provided. The contact detection apparatus includes a first electrode (430) made of a flexible conductive material and extending throughout a contact detection range, a second electrode (440) apart from the first electrode and extending on the back side of the first electrode, and detection means for detecting contact of an object with the first electrode based on the capacitance of the first electrode. The first electrode is made of a conductive resin containing an embedded conductor.

  • Patent number: 6028381
Abstract: Between a relay terminal of a direct current motor and a contact terminal of an electromagnetic switch, there is provided a fuse which is melted to cut off an electric current upon reaching a predetermined temperature. By properly setting the predetermined temperature at which the fuse melts, it is possible to make the fuse heated to a high temperature and melted in a relatively short time to cut off the electric current in the event of, for example, a continuous operative condition caused due to such a failure as fusion adhesion of a movable contact point with a B-terminal and an M-terminal or fusion adhesion of a contact point mechanism outside a starter, or an overcurrent supply condition caused upon a rotor being locked.

  • Patent number: 5969458
Abstract: In a permanent magnet field starter motor, a ring shaped enlarged portion is formed at an end of a yoke and has an inner diameter Da which is larger than an inner diameter of the yoke. The inner diameter Da of the enlarged portion is at least as large as an outer diameter Db of a brush member holder plate which is inserted to an inner side of the enlarged portion, so that the radial position between the yoke and the brush member holder plate is directly aligned. A cut-out groove is formed on the yoke for inserting a bush member. The bush member is inserted into the cut-out groove, so that a thrust direction position of an outside portion lead wire, a lead terminal, and a lead wire is determined. A projection formed on the brush member holder plate has a width Wb which is at least as large as the width Wa of the cut-out groove. By inserting projection into the cut-out groove, the circumferential position between the yoke and the brush member holder plate is aligned.
