Abstract: An oil-in-water type emulsion cosmetic is capable of stably maintaining large-sized oily particles having a diameter exceeding 50 ?m in a well-dispersed state or achieving a well-dispersed state thereof merely by lightly shaking, without necessarily adding a water-soluble thickener such as carboxyvinyl polymer to the aqueous phase of the emulsion. The oil-in-water type emulsion cosmetic, wherein oily particles containing a solid fat component and a liquid oil component are dispersed in an aqueous phase, is characterized in that: the average particle diameter of the oily particles is 50 ?m to 10 mm; and the difference between the specific gravity of the oily phase constituting the oily particles and the specific gravity of the aqueous phase [(specific gravity of oily phase)?(specific gravity of aqueous phase)] is within the range of ?0.010 to +0.100.

Abstract: An external preparation for skin has a pH value of 2.0-5.0 and comprises: (a) 1.0-7.0 mass % of at least one of the members selected from ?-hydroxy acids, (b) 0.1-3.0 mass % of a crosslinked type N,N-dimethylacrylamide-2-acrylamido-2-methylpropanesulfonic acid sodium salt copolymer, and (c) 0.1-3.0 mass % of an associating thickener constituted of a compound of the formula (1): R1—{(O—R2)k—OCONH—R3[—NHCOO—(R4—O)n—R5]h}m (1) wherein R1 represents a hydrocarbon group, R2 and R4 represent alkylene groups having 2-4 carbon atoms, which may be identical or different, or a phenylethylene group, R3 represents a hydrocarbon group, which may have a urethane bond, R5 represents a branched chain or secondary hydrocarbon group, m is a number of at least 2, h is a number of at least 1, k is a number within the range of 1-500, and n is a number within the range of 1-200.

Abstract: It is intended to provide a cleansing cosmetic composition that quickly removes makeup from the skin, is easily applicable onto the skin without dripping from the hand or running on the face during application, and can freshen the skin because of being washed off thoroughly. The present invention provides a cleansing cosmetic composition comprising: (1) 1 to 15% by mass of silicone oil, (2) 1 to 15% by mass of volatile hydrocarbon oil, (3) 5 to 20% by mass of dihydric glycol, (4) 5 to 40% by mass of polyoxyethylene glyceryl fatty acid ester, and (5) 15 to 88% by mass of water, wherein the weight ratio between the silicone oil (1) and the volatile hydrocarbon oil (2) ((1)/(2)) falls within the range of 0.3 to 3 and the composition has a viscosity of 100 to 500 mPas at 25° C.

A skin treatment composition comprising anti-bacterial zeolite and alum and/or dried alum. A skin treatment composition comprising anti-bacterial zeolite and polyoxyethylene polyoxypropylene 2-decyltetradecyl ether. The object is to provide a skin treatment composition containing anti-bacterial zeolite that exhibits the effect of preventing discoloration of the skin treatment compositions and/or reducing the degree of discoloration. Another object is to provide a skin treatment composition that is superior in terms of formulation stability and tactile sensation during use. Yet another object is to provide a skin treatment composition having the effect of preventing the skin treatment composition from staining clothing and/or reducing the degree of such staining.

Abstract: An anti-aging preparation for cutaneous application which prevents cutaneous aging, a collagen cross-linking inhibitory preparation for cutaneous application which inhibits collagen cross-linking occurring predominantly in the dermis to maintain skin elasticity and to prevent wrinkles or sagging, and an anti-UV preparation for cutaneous application which protects the skin from harmful effects caused by excessive exposure to ultraviolet rays of sunlight are disclosed. The preparation contains one or two aminoethyl compounds represented by formula (I):NH.sub.2 CH.sub.2 CH.sub.2 X (I)wherein X represents --SO.sub.2 H or --SO.sub.2 SH, and preferably contains at least one ultraviolet protective agent.

Abstract: An external preparation containing DL-.alpha.-tocopherol 2- L-ascorbic phosphoric diester and/or a salt thereof, and at least one ultraviolet absorbing agent. The cross-linking of collagen is suppressed and an excellent cutaneous aging resisting effect is obtained.

Abstract: A hyaluronic acid-containing aqueous solution or aqueous dispersion of collagen having a pH of from about 6.5 to about 8.0 and an osmolality of from about 230 to about 320 mOsm/kgH.sub.2 O. The aqueous solution or the aqueous dispersion of collagen is useful as an agent for correction and reparation of a depressed part of or a void in soft tissue of mammals.
