    Abstract: A recoil apparatus has a drum rotatably disposed within a casing. A peripheral groove is formed in the drum in such a manner as to open in the outer periphery of the drum. A recoil spring member is formed into a spiral shape and is received within the peripheral groove, with its inner end being secured to the drum and its outer end extending from the casing to the outside. A pulling knob is mounted on the outer end of the recoil spring member.
