A synthetic print containing the picture frame and the graphic image is made from the picture frame and the graphic data.

Abstract: The object of the present invention is to provide a device, method, and a recording medium for information distribution, by which information desired by an individual customer is automatically provided to the individual customer without complicated works by the customer. Information distribution methods, kinds and fields of information desired to be distributed, times of the distribution, and configurations of devices for reproducing distribution information, which were assigned by customers at concluding contracts for information distribution, are previously stored as customer information, and, when time at which information of a specific kind and field is to be distributed to a specific customer has come, the pertinent information is retrieved, and is distributed to the customer by the assigned distribution method after image processing if required, and further retrieving related information if necessary. The distributed information is reproduced with the device assigned by the customer.

On the basis of image data of an image which is an object of processing, plural face candidate regions, which are assumed to correspond to faces of persons, are extracted. A degree of overlapping is computed for a pair of overlapping face candidate regions. A weight point is set for each face candidate region such that a weight point of a face candidate region which overlaps with another face candidate region is higher than a weight point of a face candidate region which does not overlap with another face candidate region, and the higher the degree of overlapping with another face candidate region, the higher the weight point.

Abstract: The information transmitting system includes a camera by which a message sending photographer allocates message information to a subject specified in a picture being taken and which has a capability of acquiring information about a position of a shooting site and information about a shooting direction; a subject identifying unit which identifies the subject by deducing a geographical position of the subject using the information about the shooting position and direction, and optionally a position of the subject which is within the picture taken; and a message information transmitting unit which transmits the message information to the subject or a specified object including a third party. Information can be easily transmitted among a desired number of members and communication of information with objects at long distance is possible. If desired, advertisements or comments may be conferred to a specified subject and the information they carry may be displayed to any persons.
