  • Patent number: 7868951
Abstract: Since size and mounting method of display panels of a large-sized panel type television differ by manufacturers, different parts are needed for display panels of different manufacturers. The display panel fixing plate is separated into a panel top fixing plate, a panel bottom fixing plate, and a bridge plate. The panel top fixing plate is fixed to the upper side of a flat display panel and the panel bottom fixing plate to the lower side of the flat display panel, and both plates are held with two bridge members. In addition, by making a screw hole vertically oblong that is used for screwing the bridge member to the panel top fixing plate, it is possible use the same panel top fixing plate, the panel bottom fixing plate, and the bridge plate for different inch display panels.

  • Patent number: 7812891
Abstract: Front cabinets of different sizes have been prepared for each of display apparatuses of different screen sizes. A front cabinet 20 of a size capable of accommodating each of a PDP 31 and a PDP 32 of different screen sizes is provided and it is made possible to select, depending on whether the display accommodated therein is the PDP 31 or the PDP 32, one of a decoration frame 11 whose size of opening corresponds to a screen 31a of the PDP 31 and a decoration frame 12 whose size of opening corresponds to a screen 32a of the PDP 32 is selected and attached to the front cabinet 20. Therefore, one type of front cabinet 20 can be used in each of the cases where the PDP 31 or the PDP 32 is accommodated therein. Thus, the cost for manufacturing plasma televisions of different screen sizes can be reduced.

  • Patent number: 7529082
Abstract: Each of attachments 50 has fixtures formed in a base part 51 for fixation to metal fixtures 80a and 80b. It also has a projecting part 52 having two surfaces formed on its side which opposes one of brackets 20. The two surfaces differ in height by an amount corresponding to the difference in height between the metal fixtures 80a and 80b. Each of the two surfaces has a fixture formed thereon. The brackets 20 each have screw holes and clearance holes formed in their portions which oppose, when their vertical locations relative to PDP 10a and PDP 10b are kept unchanged, the attachments 50 fixed to the metal fixtures 80a and 80b, respectively.

  • Patent number: 7518671
Abstract: A liquid crystal panel 30 has its corners sandwiched between first and second spacers 70 and 80 forward and backward, and the first and second spacers 70 and 80 are fixed to a front cabinet 20. Thus, the front cabinet 20 can be used as a general-purpose member. That is, if the first spacer 70 or the second spacer 80 is designed to fit to the shape of the liquid crystal panel 30, the front cabinet 20 does not need to be modified every time the shape of the liquid crystal panel 30 is modified. Since the corners of the liquid crystal panel 30 are sandwiched on a flat part 71a1, even if the size of the liquid crystal panel 30 is changed, the first spacer 70 can cause the flat part 71a1 to be brought into contact with the corners of the liquid crystal panel 30.

  • Patent number: 7477328
Abstract: Conventionally, it was difficult to maintain parallelism between an optical filter and a PDP, and also the weight of the optical filter was put on the PDP. With a PDP 10 and a frame 30 separately fixed to a bracket 20 connecting to a leg member 60, fix an optical filter 80 to the frame 30. As a result, the optical filter 80 is fixed with required parallelism maintained with the PDP 10, and also the optical filter 80 and the PDP 10 will not put their weight on each other, thus eliminating unnecessary loads on the optical filter 80 and the PDP 10. Also, unnecessary flaws and distortions in a casing 40 can be prevented during the product manufacturing.

  • Patent number: 7467832
Abstract: A front structure included in a cabinet for a television set and formed by a gas assist injection molding process has a front wall and side walls extending backward from thick peripheral parts of the front wall, and is provided with joining structures each including a support structure consisting of a first reinforcing rib, a second reinforcing rib and a third reinforcing rib, and a boss supported by the support structure. The second and the third reinforcing ribs are extended from the first reinforcing rib toward the thick peripheral part to positions at a predetermined distance from the thick peripheral part such that the second and the third reinforcing rib are not joined directly to the thick peripheral part to prevent a gas flowing through the thick peripheral part from flowing into the joining structure.

  • Publication number: 20070093931
Abstract: Conventionally, different metal molds are necessary to mold different-sized flat display panel cabinets. A common cabinet is used for different-sized flat display panels. Also, a core metal mold is shaped to have a concave side surface that forms a resin molding cavity accommodating all the sizes of the cabinet for flat display panel. By doing this, a common metal mold can be used for different-sized flat display panels.

  • Patent number: 7129996
Abstract: There is a problem that a liquid crystal television having a stand tilting at a plurality of tilt angles needs a complicated structure. For solving the problem, while a pivot member 22 pivotable to the main body 10 is kept to be at an angle of 35 degree to the main body 10, a moving block 25 slides toward the pivot member 22, so that an arm 21 extends and shortens to change a tilt angle of the main body. Therefore, the main body 10 can tilt at a plurality of angles. On the other hand, the stand 20 is structured not to be complicated, and thus can be contained compact.
