    Abstract: The present invention provides a sensor that exhibits a small effect on a detection target during detection, a high detection sensitivity, a wide dynamic range for detection, and a small change after repeated detection, as well as a composition suitable for use in the sensor. The composition is a polyrotaxane composition containing two polyrotaxane cyclic molecules crosslinked with a crosslinking agent present between the molecules, wherein the polyrotaxane composition exhibits a hysteresis loss of 10% or less, an elongation at break of 200% or more, an initial Young's modulus of 5 MPa or less, and a relative dielectric constant of 8.0 or more. The sensor includes a film formed of the aforementioned polyrotaxane composition, and elastomer-made electrode layers disposed on both surfaces of the film.

    Abstract: An elastomer piezoelectric element is configured by alternately disposing first opposite electrodes and second opposite electrodes, and sandwiching a dielectric layer between each first opposite electrode and the corresponding second opposite electrode. Each of the dielectric layers includes a dielectric elastomer sheet-shaped dielectric portion and a conductive elastomer first common electrode connecting the first opposite electrodes to each other or a conductive elastomer second common electrode connecting the second opposite electrodes to each other. The first common electrode and the second common electrode are provided so as to extend from one main surface to another main surface of the dielectric portion, and are joined to the first opposite electrode and the second opposite electrode, respectively, on a joint surface along the dielectric layer.

    Abstract: Creating a solid (i.e. three dimensional) model with a CAD system, from a two dimensional representation, includes dividing the two dimensional representation into a plurality of shape portions, inputting them into the CAD system, rendering them solid, and then connecting them into the desired solid model. Among the shape portions are those whose cross-sections are substantially uniform. In inputting, the operator of the CAD system need only input line segments of the shape portions in approximately the correct orientation.
