    Abstract: The present invention uses a urethane resin composition including a urethane resin (A), a multifunctional acrylate (B), and a solvent (C). The urethane resin (A) is a reaction product of a polyol (a1) and a polyisocyanate (a2). The polyol (a1) includes an alkylene diol (a1-1) having two or more polymerizable unsaturated groups and represented by general formula (1) or an oxyalkylene diol (a1-2) having two or more polymerizable unsaturated groups and represented by general formula (2) below. The proportion of polymerizable unsaturated bonds in the urethane resin composition is within a range of 3 to 9 mmol/g. The urethane resin composition is a urethane resin composition that can form a coating film having excellent hardness, scratch resistance, and flexibility.

The present sheet of such a structure as mentioned above is improved in terms of dyeability and weather-resistance-after-printing, and excels particularly in the storability of printed images.

    Abstract: An image-receiving sheet for thermal transfer printing comprising a substrate, an intermediate layer and an image-receiving layer, said intermediate layer and said image-receiving layer being disposed in this order on said substrate, characterized in that said intermediate layer comprises a layer containing (a) fine particles of one or more kinds of resins selected from the group consisting of thermosetting resins and other resins having a softening point of higher than 150.degree. C. and (b) fine particles of a polyolefin resin as the main constituents and the amount of said fine particles (a) contained in the intermediate layer is in the range of from 5 to 90% by weight.The image-receiving sheet excells in the whiteness and opacity and exhibits an excellent recording sensitivity. The image-receiving sheet provides high quality images accompanied with no missing dot when used in a thermal transfer printing system wherein a thermally sublimable dye is utilized.

    Abstract: The electrothermal transfer sheet of the present invention comprises a substrate sheet, at least one resistor layer formed on one surface of the substrate sheet and a dye layer comprising a heat-migratable dye and a binder, which is formed on the other surface of the substrate sheet. This transfer sheet is characterized in that at least one resistor layer has a positive resistance-temperature coefficient, the ratio R.sub.100 /R.sub.25 of the resistance value (R.sub.100) at 100.degree. C. to the resistance value (R.sub.25) at 25.degree. C. in the resistor layer is at least 1.2 and the ratio R.sub.200 /R.sub.100 of the resistance value (R.sub.200) at 200.degree. C. to the resistance value (R.sub.100) at 100.degree. C. in the resistor layer is at least 2.5. By maintaining these resistance-temperature characteristics, heat fusion bonding can be effectively prevented at the printing operation, and the printing sensitivity and image quality can be improved.
