  • Patent number: 4618571
Abstract: A silver halide color photographic light-sensitive material comprising a support having thereon at least one silver halide emulsion layer, the color photographic light-sensitive material containing a coupler which releases a compound after the coupling reaction with the oxidation product of a developing agent, the released compound being capable of releasing further a photographically useful group by an oxidation-reduction reaction with the oxidation product of another developing agent. The compound used in the present invention is chemically stable and can release a photographically useful group under control; therefore the silver halide color photographic light-sensitive material containing the compound has good stability during storage and high sensitivity and provides a color image having good image qualities such as sharpness, graininess, color reproducibility, etc.

  • Patent number: 4568635
Abstract: A silver halide light-sensitive material comprising a support having provided thereon at least one silver halide emulsion layer is disclosed. The emulsion layer contains a silver halide prepared in the presence of a tetrasubstituted thiourea as a silver halide solvent and was hardened with a hardener containing a vinylsulfonyl group. Combined use of the tetrasubstituted thiourea and the hardener of the above-described kinds increases the storability of the light-sensitive material.

  • Patent number: 4558000
Abstract: A color reversal light-sensitive material comprising a support having coated thereon at least a pair of silver halide emulsion layers having mutually different color sensitivities and consisting of an emulsion having a high silver/coupler ratio and an emulsion having a low silver/coupler ratio, the former ratio being greater by a factor of at least 5 than the latter ratio, and the latter emulsion being incorporated with a compound containing recurring units represented by the following General Formula (I): ##STR1## the substituents being defined within the specification. By including the compound of the general formula (I) within the particular emulsion layer which is highly susceptible to changes in sensitivity and maximum density, it is possible to prevent deterioration in color balance which has been found to be due to variation in the concentration of potassium bromide.

  • Patent number: 4554245
Abstract: A color reversal photographic light-sensitive material is disclosed. The material is comprised of a support base having thereon a silver halide emulsion layer, an organic compound and colloid grains of a metal or metal sulfide or silver halide grains the surface of which is previously fogged. The silver halide emulsion layer includes fine grains of silver halide particles having a particle size of 0.3.mu. or less. The fine grain particles are present in the emulsion in an amount in the range of about 30% to about 95% based on the total number of silver halide grains in the emulsion. The silver halide emulsion also includes coarse grains having a particle size of more than 0.3.mu.. The organic compound has a solubility product constant of 10.sup.-14 or less when forming a salt with a silver ion.

  • Patent number: 4474872
Abstract: A method for producing a photographic emulsion is disclosed. The method includes the process of adding a dispersion of a substantially water-insoluble photographic additive to a photographic emulsion. The dispersion being prepared merely by mechanically grinding and dispersing the photographic additive in a form of fine grain having a size of 1.mu. or less in an aqueous system adjusted to a pH value of 6 to 8 and controlled to a temperature of 60.degree. to 80.degree. C. The additive is included in the photographic emulsion without the need of an organic solvent. The emulsion of the invention can be easily and quickly coated to form a uniform layer.
