  • Publication number: 20200224889
Abstract: An indoor unit of an air conditioner includes multiple blow ports and multiple louvers each provided at the blow ports and configured to adjust a blowing direction. Each louver is, upon stop of the indoor unit, rotated in the direction of closing the blow port, the angle of the louver upon stop of the indoor unit being a fully-closed angle. When the minimum angle among louver angles settable by the remote controller is taken as a first angle and the maximum angle is taken as a second angle, the louver angles of a part of the multiple blow ports are, under a preset predetermined operation condition, set to a third angle greater than the fully-closed angle as the louver angle upon stop of the indoor unit and smaller than the first angle, and the louvers of the other blow ports perform louver operation settable from a remote controller.

  • Publication number: 20200208850
Abstract: An indoor unit of an air conditioner includes a suction port, multiple blow ports provided to surround the periphery of the suction port, and multiple louvers provided at the blow ports to adjust a blowing direction. When the indoor unit is stopped, each louver is rotated in the direction of closing the blow port, the angle of which is a fully-closed angle. A remote controller is configured to set action of each louver upon operation of the indoor unit. When the minimum angle among louver angles is taken as a first angle and the maximum angle is taken as a second angle, the louver angles of some of the multiple blow ports are, in heating operation, set to a third angle greater than the fully-closed angle and smaller than the first angle, and the louvers of the other blow ports are set to automatic swing or downward blowing.

  • Patent number: 10557648
Abstract: A cooling/heating switching unit includes first to third fittings, expansion valves and expansion-valve driving sections, a housing, a heat insulating material, and a refrigerant leak detection sensor. The first and second fittings respectively connect with a high/low-pressure-gas main pipe and a low-pressure-gas main pipe, which are linked to an outdoor unit. The third fitting connects with an indoor-unit connection pipe, which is linked to indoor units. The expansion valve for high/low-pressure-gas pipe, the expansion valve for low-pressure-gas pipe, and expansion-valve driving sections selectively connect the first or second fitting with the third fitting via a refrigerant pipe to control a flow direction of refrigerant. The housing houses the refrigerant pipe. The heat insulating material fills inside of the housing to insulate the refrigerant pipe arranged inside of the housing from heat. The refrigerant leak detection sensor is installed outside of the housing to detect leaked refrigerant.

  • Publication number: 20160252259
Abstract: An indoor unit of an air conditioner of the present invention includes a cabinet; an air inlet through which air is sucked into the cabinet; a centrifugal fan which blows the air sucked in to the surrounding portions; and an a heat exchanger which is provided in the direction of air supply of the centrifugal fan and allows heat exchange between the air and a refrigerant flowing thereinside, in which the following equation is satisfied: 0.16?L/D?0.19, where D is an outer diameter of the centrifugal fan and L is a distance between the centrifugal fan and the heat exchanger in their closest positions. Thus, a variation in a velocity distribution created in the heat exchanger can be suppressed, and the indoor unit of the air conditioner which achieves an improved energy saving property due to a reduced pressure loss and an improved heat exchange efficiency of the heat exchanger can be provided.
