  • Publication number: 20160029459
Abstract: The centralized lighting and air conditioning controller controls the light emission of lighting devices using brightness configuration values, and an environmental sensor transmits illuminance measurement values to the centralized lighting and air conditioning controller by wireless communication. The centralized lighting and air conditioning controller receives the illuminance measurement values, and based on the change in the illuminance measurement values and the change in the RSSI when the illuminance measurement values are received, acquires the degree of influence on the environmental sensor by the light from each of the lighting devices, and acquires the unknown or indeterminate position of the environmental sensor based on the degree of influence.

  • Publication number: 20150215272
Abstract: Device identification code is generated by combining model code as model information and a communication identification number that is allocated to a communication adapter. Therefore, as long as an electrical device has a model code, it is not necessary to separately store in advance an identification code for identifying the electrical device. Consequently, it is possible to reduce the capacity of the storage device that is used for the electrical device, and as a result, it is possible to simplify the construction of the electrical device. Moreover, devices that form a network can be identified by using device identification code.

  • Patent number: 9046956
Abstract: As for a position input apparatus that, when a user applies a pressure to an operation area, determines a pressed position where the pressure is applied, the manufacturing cost of the position input apparatus is reduced. An operation plate is a flat plate having the operation area on one surface. A plurality of pressure sensors (pressure detection devices) detect, at respectively different pressure detection positions, a detection position pressure generated by the pressure applied to the pressed position. A pressed position determination device determines the pressed position, based on a plurality of detection position pressures detected by the plurality of pressure sensors.

  • Publication number: 20150134794
Abstract: A device identification code for identifying an electric device is generated based on electric device information predefined for each electric device. Accordingly, it becomes unnecessary for a communication adapter to be provided with a memory device storing the device identification code for identifying the electric device. A structure of the communication adapter can be therefore simplified, resulting in an avoidance of a network complication. Furthermore, precise identification of the electric device constituting the network can be accomplished using the device identification code.

  • Patent number: 8930146
Abstract: An apparatus state detector and its associates are provided to save time and effort for learning combinations of operation states of all apparatuses at home and commit fewer estimation errors even when an unknown apparatus starts operating. The apparatus state detector includes measuring means that measures a physical quantity of an environment in which an apparatus is placed, feature-quantity calculation means that calculates a feature quantity of the measured value measured by the measuring means, storage means that stores in advance the feature quantity of each apparatus and an apparatus state associated with the feature quantity in a reference-apparatus entry dictionary, and apparatus-state detection means that searches the reference-apparatus entry dictionary for a feature quantity by using a feature quantity calculated by the feature-quantity calculation means as a search key and detects an apparatus state based on the apparatus state associated with the retrieved feature quantity.

  • Patent number: 8717952
Abstract: To obtain a method of positioning a wireless terminal capable of obtaining the position of each communication terminal by measuring distances with installed communication terminals each other without fixedly installing a base station. A positioning management terminal 100 includes a positioning object decision section 130 that selects a terminal to be positioned, which is a positioning object, and a positioning standard terminal, whose position is known, among the wireless terminals 200; a positioning management section 120 that requires distance information between the terminal to be positioned and the positioning standard terminal; and a position calculation section 140 that calculates the position of the terminal to be positioned. The positioning management section 120 requires distance information from the positioning standard terminal selected by the positioning object decision section 130 to the terminal to be positioned selected by the positioning object decision section 130.

  • Publication number: 20130289777
Abstract: An air-conditioning system comprises portable devices including measurement units that measure temperature or humidity. In addition, the air-conditioning system comprises a transmitter mounted in indoor equipment that transmits light or electromagnetic waves to the portable devices, and a receiver mounted in the indoor equipment that receives detected intensity information expressing the intensity of the light or the electromagnetic waves detected by the portable devices. Furthermore, the air-conditioning system comprises a detector that detects the distance from the indoor equipment to the portable devices based on the detected intensity expressed by the detected intensity information, and a controller that controls the air-blowing state of the indoor equipment based on the detected distances and the measured temperature or humidity. Thus, the temperature or the humidity at a specified location can be adjusted more accurately.

  • Publication number: 20130134991
Abstract: Probes of a conductor length measurement device are connected to piping, and an output voltage is applied to the piping through the probes. A frequency spectrum curve is subsequently calculated by subjecting a voltage signal to FFT. Resonant frequencies of the piping are then determined from this frequency spectrum curve, and the total length of the piping is calculated on the basis of the resonant frequencies. The total length of the piping can therefore be easily measured without the need to install, for example, any measurement instruments at branch terminals.
