  • Patent number: 8935778
Abstract: Aspects of the present invention maintain data integrity of a monitored data object in a monitored storage repository. A first security value for the monitored data object is determined. The first security value is stored along with an authentic copy of the monitored data object in the secure repository. The second security value for the monitored data object is determined after a predetermined time interval. The first security value is compared with the second security value. An alert is generated in response to determining a difference between the second security value and the first security value.
    Type: Grant

Date of Patent: January 13, 2015
    Assignee: International Business Machines Corporation
Inventors: Jay Harish Hira, Narayanan Krishnan
  • Patent number: 8782762
Abstract: In general, embodiments of the present invention provide an approach for providing a multi-tenant/customer partition group separator and securer in a shared cloud infrastructure (e.g., as an extension to DB2®, Label-Based Access Control (LBAC), and/or an independent tool). Among other things, embodiments of the present invention provide cloud administrators with an easy to use customizable, configurable security constraint builder/tool with a built-in multi-tenant/customer enabled security model. Moreover, embodiments of the present invention enable cloud administrators to set up, configure, and manage tenants/customers and their private shards with their own security constraints. The output of this tool greatly eases the time to create an invisible (e.g., software) wall of separation for multiple tenants/customers in a shared cloud infrastructure.

  • Patent number: 8484556
Abstract: Embodiments of the invention provide data file interoperability between two drawing programs using a single composite drawing file. A method of generating a drawing file shared by a source application and a target application includes storing a copy of a computer aided design (CAD) drawing in a composite drawing file, where the CAD drawing is stored according to a drawing format used by the source application. The method also includes generating a visual representation of the CAD drawing, where the visual representation is formatted according to a drawing format used by the target application. The method also includes storing the visual representation in the composite drawing file, where a display of the visual representation generated by the target application is substantially similar to a display of the CAD drawing generated by the source application.
