  • Patent number: 11977121
Abstract: Described herein is a device for autonomously monitoring a battery is provided. The device is integrated with the battery (e.g., by being electrically coupled to the battery). The device obtains measurement data by injecting electrical signals into the battery and measuring an electrical response of the battery. The device participates in an authentication protocol with a computing device to verify a unique identity of the device to the computing device. After performing the authentication protocol verifying the unique identity of the device, the device transmits battery data to the computer. Further, techniques for verifying the identity of the battery using measurement data obtained by the device are described herein. The techniques generate a battery signature using the measurement data that is then used to verify the identity of the battery. For example, the battery signature may be used to determine whether the battery is counterfeit or defective.

  • Publication number: 20240027528
Abstract: A battery module includes a plurality of battery cells and a battery monitoring system configured to monitor one or more parameters of the plurality of battery cells. The battery module includes a processor configured to execute a battery monitoring script to generate a battery information payload defined by a battery information payload format. The battery module includes a radio configured to receive a container file including metadata defining the battery information payload format and the battery monitoring script; transmit the metadata to a service device; and transmit the battery information payload to the service device. A battery pack includes one or more battery modules and a wireless battery management system controller configured to: receive the battery information payload from each of the plurality of the battery modules; and provide aggregated battery information to a battery management controller of a host.

  • Patent number: 11800476
Abstract: Low-cost time synchronization associated wireless Battery Management System (BMS) and a host controller are described herein. The time synchronization techniques described herein are low-cost because of the use of existing communicating lines without using adding additional dedicated lines or wires for synchronization. Moreover, the time synchronization techniques described herein may be implemented without complex circuitry.

  • Patent number: 10320407
Abstract: A system having two or more sensing nodes coupled to a control node using a serial communication channel having separate transmit and receive circuits, where each sensing node includes an ADC circuit and a microcontroller, operation of the ADC circuit in each sensing node is concurrently synchronized by the control node using the transmit circuit (e.g., with respect to the control node) of the serial communication channel. The control node can synchronize operation of two or more ADC circuits in separate sensing nodes without using shared clocks or other control signals.

  • Patent number: 9491495
Abstract: A system for receiving at least two data streams and providing a single input data stream to a MIPI's CSI Tx is disclosed. The two received data streams are written into respective data buffers. The system includes a control logic configured to control reading of data stored in the buffers to a multiplexer, the read-side clock being a multiple of a frequency of a fixed frequency clock. The control logic is further configured to control the multiplexer to combine data read from each buffer that corresponds to a complete unit of data into a separate portion and multiplex the separate portions into the input data stream. In this manner, two data streams may be transmitted using a single CSI Tx. When the two data streams are received by the system from an APIX interface, the system provides a bridge between the APIX interface and MIPI's CSI Tx.
