  • Patent number: 11729871
Abstract: An apparatus for applying electromagnetic energy to an object in an energy application zone via at least one radiating element is disclosed. The apparatus may include at least one processor. The at least one processor may be configured to determine a value indicative of energy absorbable by the object at each of a plurality of frequencies and to cause the at least one radiating element to apply energy to the zone in at least a subset of the plurality of frequencies. Energy applied to the zone at each of the subset of frequencies may be a function of the absorbable energy value at each frequency.

    Assignee: JOLIET 2010 LIMITED
Inventors: Avner Libman, Sharon Hadad, Caroline Myriam Rachel Obadia, Natan Mizrahi, Eran Ben-Shmuel, Alexander Bilchinsky, Itzhak Chaimov
  • Patent number: 11128331
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for utilizing ultra-efficiency low noise configurations for phased array antennas. Radio frequency integrated circuits (RFICs) may be used in phased array antennas to enable configuring large number of phase shifters in highly efficient manner, and to do so in optimal manner, such as with low noise.

  • Patent number: 6731710
Abstract: A modem for more efficiently processing a received analog signal into a digital output. The modem preferably estimates the carrier frequency offset in at least one stage, by receiving a synchronization field divided into at least two portions, calculating a difference of the phase between the portions, and then calculating the frequency offset from the phase difference. More preferably, the modem estimates the carrier frequency offset in two stages, with a first stage being a initial frequency estimate of the offset.

  • Patent number: 6643321
Abstract: A modem for more efficiently processing a received analog signal into a digital output. The modem preferably features an adaptive equalizer with coefficients which are saved and reused for processing of subsequent analog signals, in order to reduce the time required to reach convergence. In addition, preferably the modem features an automatic carrier frequency control which adjusts the sampled digital signal according to both the carrier phase offset and the carrier frequency offset. Again, in order to process the signal more quickly and efficiently, preferably the carrier frequency offset is stored and reused for processing subsequent signals.
