  • Patent number: 9197945
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for facilitating user and time-based content interaction. Sampling data received from a user device is compared to time-based content. The comparison is carried out, optionally without relying on watermark matching, to determine whether a match exists between the sampling data and the time-based content. Information relating to the sampling data may be transmitted to the user if the identification engine determines that the match exists.

  • Publication number: 20150019585
Abstract: A method is provided for building and sharing an electronic database of interactive media content among a community of users. An electronic submission that corresponds to an audio and/or visual media asset is received from a user. One or more fingerprints are extracted from the received submission to produce accompanying identifying data therefor, if any, that correspond to one or more assets of an interactive media database of known assets. The media asset and accompanying identification data is stored or located as an entry in a content repository for community search and access, thereby providing to the user interactive media content. When the entry is not associated with a content object, the community is allowed to create one or more content objects for the entry. Otherwise, one or more content objects are returned to the user.

  • Publication number: 20140344323
Abstract: An electronic system is provided for facilitating configuration management of a service or application distributed over a plurality of nodes that can be in single datacenter or network or span multiple ones The system includes a receiver for receiving a system model, a reasoner, and a workflow engine. The reasoner automatically processes the system model received by the receiver to produce an executable plan for the distributed service. The workflow engine includes a temporal sequencer for dispatching commands to the nodes to carry out the executable plan in a temporally coordinated manner, thereby providing the distributed service. Also provided is a method for facilitating configuration management of a distributed service.

  • Publication number: 20120309307
Abstract: Methods and setups are provided that facilitate the identification of a target item from an arrangement of items. Each item of the arrangement has a different corresponding NFC tagging device attached thereto. Electronic equipment may be provided comprising a NFC scanner of a read range. The NFC tagging device of the target item and the NFC tagging device of at least one nontarget item in the arrangement may be positioned such that they are simultaneously located within the read range of the NFC scanner. By physically shielding the tagging device of the at least one nontarget item from the NFC scanner, a human user may activate the NFC scanner to communicate with the NFC tagging device of the target item. As a result, the NFC scanner may identify and distinguish the target item from one or more nontarget items of the arrangement.
