A controller can be configured to compare a difference in pressure values upstream and downstream of a fluid flow restrictor to a pressure difference threshold, and determine based on the comparison whether to activate an alarm indicating the full waste canister condition or the fluid flow path blockage condition. The controller can be additionally or alternatively configured to determine a fluid flow using a flow meter, open a selectable valve in response to a comparison of the fluid flow with a fluid flow threshold, determine fluid flow after opening the valve, and determine based on the fluid flow after opening the valve whether to activate the alarm.

    Abstract: A dental laser system for treatment of hard and/or soft tissue includes a main chamber housing optical and primary fluid supply subsystems, for directing a laser beam and fluid to a treatment area. A hand piece affixable to the main chamber, includes mating optical and secondary fluid supply subsystems. The hand piece can be rotatable or re-orientable about an optical axis within the hand piece. A lock can maintain a selectable angular orientation of the hand piece relative to the main chamber. A coupling can maintain a fluidic communication between the primary and secondary fluid supply subsystems even when the hand piece is rotated or re-oriented. A sensor and controller can sense a selected angular orientation of the hand piece and adjust the main optical subsystem according to the sensed angular orientation, to align the two optical subsystems. The laser may be controlled using a variable speed foot pedal.

Aspects disclosed herein leverage custom-built taxonomies, natural language processing (NLP), and machine learning (ML) for identifying and extracting features from highly-relevant documents. The extracted features are vectorized and then filtered based on entities (e.g., enterprises, organizations, individuals, etc.) and compliance-based risks (e.g., illegal or non-compliant activities) that are highly relevant to a particular client. The filtered feature vectors are used to identify and highlight relevant information in the corresponding documents, enabling decision making to resolve compliance-related risks. The aspects described herein generate fewer false positive or otherwise less relevant results than conventional document screening applications or manual techniques.
