  • Publication number: 20240127654
Abstract: Devices, systems, and methods are presented for controlling user access to one or more access points of a self-storage facility using a single authentication instance. Such instances can include detecting that the user is within physical proximity of one of the one or more access points to which the user is authorized to access, and activating an unlocking mechanism associated with the one of the one or more access points responsive to detection of physical proximity.

  • Publication number: 20240073640
Abstract: The present disclosure includes devices, systems, and methods for locating a unit within a storage facility. Such locating may include receiving request, for example, by a gateway device, for one or more units of a storage facility, generating a control signal to activate notification in the unit device co-located with the unit, and transmitting the control signal accordingly to allow indication of the physical location.

  • Patent number: 11912409
Abstract: An unmanned aerial vehicle may include a fuselage and an anchor structure coupled to the fuselage and including a wing retention structure and a power module retention structure. The unmanned aerial vehicle may also include a wing releasably coupled to the wing retention structure, thereby coupling the wing to the fuselage, and a power module releasably coupled to the power module retention structure, thereby coupling the power module to the fuselage.

  • Patent number: 11352817
Abstract: An electronic lock includes a lock body and a shackle selectively securable via one or more ball bearings. An asymmetric cam can be rotated by a key or an electric motor to: a locked state in which the ball bearing secures the shackle within the lock body via at least one lock notch in the shackle, an unlocked state in which the ball bearing is released from the lock notch to unlock the shackle and subsequently engages a revolved notch on a distal end of the shackle to prevent removal of the shackle from the lock body, and a removal state in which the ball bearing is released from the lock notch and the revolved notch to allow the shackle to be removed from the lock body. A shackle detector can detect a shackle in the locked state. Externally accessible electrical contacts allow for jumpstarting a discharged battery.

  • Patent number: 7246006
Abstract: A method of evaluating a contribution of a cylinder to an engine includes measuring a first revolutions per minute of the engine during an enabled state; determining a dwell period of the cylinder; applying a direct current voltage signal into a negative terminal of an ignition coil of the engine during the dwell period to disable the cylinder and create a disabled state; and measuring a second revolutions per minute of the engine during the disabled state. A system for evaluating a contribution of a cylinder to an engine includes a first measure module, a determine module, an apply module, and a second measure module. The first measure module measures a first revolutions per minute of the engine during an enabled state. The determine module determines a dwell period of the cylinder. The apply module applies a direct current voltage signal into a negative terminal of an ignition coil of the engine during the dwell period to disable the cylinder and create a disabled state.

  • Publication number: 20060095233
Abstract: A method of determining a cylinder that has a failure in an engine includes accessing an on-board information system associated with the engine; retrieving data from the on-board information system; filtering the data to derive at target data; and decoding the target data to determine a number of a failed cylinder and the cylinder's corresponding cylinder rating. A system for determining a cylinder that has a failure in an engine includes an access module, a retrieve module, a filter module, and a decode module. The access module accesses an on-board information system associated with the engine. The retrieve module retrieves data from the on-board information system. The filter module filters the data to derive at target data. The decode module decodes the target data to determine a number of a failed cylinder and the cylinder's corresponding cylinder rating.
