Publication number: 20220355329Abstract: An ejector device for ejecting droplets of fluid onto a surface includes an ejector mechanism attached to a fluid reservoir through a fluid loading plate that is configured to pierce the reservoir and channel the fluid to a rear surface of the ejector mechanism by capillary action. The ejector mechanism may have a centro-symmetric configuration with a lead free piezo actuator and may be covered by an auto-closing cover.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 25, 2022Publication date: November 10, 2022Inventors: Jonathan Ryan Wilkerson, Iyam Lynch, Charles Eric Hunter, Joshua Richard Brown, Louis Thomas Germinario, James Thornhill Leath, Nathan R. Faulks, Kris Grube, Matthew Ditrolio, J. Sid Clements

Patent number: 11394955Abstract: An illustrative example embodiment of a camera testing device includes a plurality of optic components in a predetermined arrangement that places a center of each of the optic components in a position to be aligned with a line of sight of a respective, predetermined portion of a camera field of view when the plurality of optic components are between the camera and at least one target.Type: GrantFiled: January 17, 2020Date of Patent: July 19, 2022Assignee: APTIV TECHNOLOGIES LIMITEDInventors: James C. Baar, Ronald M. Taylor, Timothy D. Garner, Nathan R. Faulks, Michael D. Cervoni, Piotr Szewc, Gerald Stier, Yew Kwang Low

Publication number: 20220124305Abstract: The techniques of this disclosure relate to a device for determining a characteristic of a camera. The device includes a moveable fixture operable to position a target in a field of view of a camera. A face of the target has linear regions of interest, and the face is normal to a line of sight of the camera. The moveable fixture is configured to rotate the target about a center of the face to adjust an angle of the linear regions of interest relative to a horizontal axis and a vertical axis of the field of view, thereby enabling a determination of a characteristic of the camera based on the linear regions of interest. Target rotation angles can be determined for any camera field position and indexed automatically to improve testing efficiencies while increasing the number of target positions that are characterized in the camera's field of view.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 20, 2020Publication date: April 21, 2022Inventors: Timothy Dean Garner, James C. Baar, Ronald M. Taylor, Nathan R. Faulks, Marcin Czerniawski, Piotr Szewc

Publication number: 20210407663Abstract: A method of delivering safe, suitable, and repeatable dosages to a subject for topical, oral, nasal, or pulmonary use and a device for droplet ejection includes a fluid delivery system capable of delivering a defined volume of the fluid in the form of droplets having properties that afford adequate and repeatable high percentage deposition upon application. The method and device include a housing, a reservoir disposed within the housing for receiving a volume of fluid, an ejector mechanism configured to eject a stream of droplets having an average ejected droplet diameter greater than 15 microns, the stream of droplets having low entrained airflow such that the stream of droplets deposit on the eye of the subject during use.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 13, 2021Publication date: December 30, 2021Inventors: Charles Eric Hunter, Bernard L. Ballou, JR., Jurgen Klaus Vollrath, Arthur H. Tew, Joshua Richard Brown, James Thornhill Leath, Nathan R. Faulks, Bradley G. Johnson, J. Sid Clements, Phillip E. Russell, John H.
