  • Patent number: 11957342
Abstract: A surgical instrument is disclosed herein. The surgical instrument can include an end effector that includes jaws configured to transition between an opened condition and a closed condition, a plurality of electrodes positioned within the jaws of the end effector, a control circuit, and a memory configured to store an algorithm configured to cause the control circuit to determine an impedance signal based on signals received from the plurality of electrodes, detect a media positioned between the jaws of the end effector based on the determined impedance signal, determine a position of the detected media based on the received signals, and generate an alert associated with the detected media and the determined position.

  • Patent number: 11935055
Abstract: An Automated Teller Machine (ATM) terminal receives a transaction request from a user. The ATM terminal triggers a camera to capture a first image of the authentication media item presented by the user, where the first image of the authentication media item is embedded with a first unique code. The ATM terminal compares the first image of the authentication media item with a second image of the authentication media item that is associated with the user, where the second image of the authentication media item is embedded with a second unique code for verifying the user. The ATM terminal determines whether the first unique code corresponds to the second unique code. The ATM terminal conducts the transaction request if it is determined that the first unique code corresponds to the second unique code.

  • Publication number: 20150363877
Abstract: One embodiment of the present invention sets forth approaches for trading financial securities over a computer network. An execution management system launches a plurality of brokerage applications, where each brokerage application included in the plurality of brokerage applications is configured to communicate with a different brokerage account system. The execution management system receives, from a client device, a selection of a brokerage account through which to execute a trade involving a financial security. The execution management system selects a first brokerage application included in the plurality of brokerage applications that is configured to communicate with a brokerage account system associated with the brokerage account. The execution management system causes the brokerage application to log into the brokerage account.
