  • Publication number: 20240131313
Abstract: A cleaning device having a body containing a cleaning fluid, an application member in selective fluid communication with the body via a fluid path, and a first selectively permeably element provided along the fluid path, the first selectively permeable element being configured to selectively interact with one or more selected components of the cleaning fluid sufficient to remove the one or more selected components from the cleaning fluid as the cleaning fluid travels along the fluid path, and wherein selective interaction between the first selectively permeable element and the one or more selected components includes at least a physical interaction. Also disclosed in methods of making and using the cleaning devices described herein.

  • Publication number: 20210259253
Abstract: Systems and methods for sterilizing iodophor compositions are described. In some cases, the iodophor composition comprises a complex comprising iodine and a polymer (i.e., an iodine-polymer complex). The iodine-polymer complex may be polyvinylpyrrolidone iodine (also referred to as “povidone-iodine” or “PVP-I”) or iodine povacrylex. Methods are described for heating an initial iodophor composition to produce a sterilized iodophor composition. The resulting sterilized iodophor composition may have a relatively high assurance of sterility (e.g., a sterility assurance level of 10?3 or less, 10?6 or less). In some cases, heating the initial iodophor composition comprises exposing at least a portion of a container containing the initial iodophor composition to a heated liquid. In certain cases, the heated liquid is part of a moving liquid stream (e.g., a cascading waterfall stream produced by a cascading waterfall sterilizer).

  • Patent number: 10982980
Abstract: A method for signifying a selected cumulative scrubbing action between a device and a surface, the cumulative scrubbing action being signified by a signaling element, wherein the signaling element is configured to provide an observable signal when the selected cumulative scrubbing action has been provided to the surface. The method may comprise applying scrubbing action to the signaling element to release and/or expose at least a first portion of an indicator, and observing the device and/or surface for the signal. The present disclosure also relates to signaling elements and devices for use according to the methods of the present disclosure, and to methods of preparing the same.

  • Patent number: 10745540
Abstract: Selectively-releasable colorant compositions that allow a controllable release of colorant molecules from resin in response to one or more specific environmental stimuli. The selectively-releasable colorant composition may comprise resin particles having colorant molecules reversibly bound thereto. The compositions of the present disclosure may also provide precise and uniform control of free colorant content in an environment and/or protection of the immobilized (i.e., unreleased) colorant from compromising environmental chemistries. The present disclosure also relates to methods of preparing and methods of using the compositions described herein.
