Abstract: Disclosed are electrochemical devices and methods for making electrochemical devices such as metal infiltrated electrodes for solid state lithium ion and lithium metal batteries. In one method for forming an electrode, a metal is infiltrated into the pore space of the active material of the electrode providing improved electronic conductivity to the electrode. The electrode may also include a solid-state ion conducting material providing improved ion conductivity to the electrode. Before infiltration of the metal, a stabilization coating may be applied to the active material and/or the solid-state ion conducting material to the stabilize electrode interfaces by slowing, but not eliminating, the chemical reactions that occur at elevated temperatures during sintering of the active material and/or the solid-state ion conducting material forming the electrode.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a method for forming solid-state electrolytes, electrodes, current collectors, and/or conductive additives used in solid-state batteries. In one version, the method includes depositing a stabilization coating on a powdered electrolyte material, or a powdered electrode material, or a powdered conductive additive material and forming a slurry comprising the coated material. The slurry is then cast on a surface to form a layer, and the layer is sintered to form a solid state electrolyte, or an electrode, or an electrode having the conductive additive.

Abstract: A fuel-fired furnace incorporates specially designed fuel/air mixing and combustion structures. The fuel/air mixing structure is of a mixing sound-attenuating design and comprises a venturi having a perforated sidewall portion and being surrounded by a noise-damping housing chamber communicating with the interior of the venturi via its sidewall perforations. During use of the mixing structure, air is flowed through the venturi in a swirling pattern while fuel is transversely injected internally against the swirling air. The combustion structure comprises a burner box housing into which the fuel/air mixture is flowed, combusted, and then discharged as hot combustion gas into and through the heat exchanger tubes. The fuel/air mixture entering the burner box housing initially passes through a non-uniformly perforated diffuser plate functioning to substantially alter in a predetermined manner the relative combustion gas flow rates through the heat exchanger tubes.

The techniques include arranging a plurality of guard regions in the memory in relation to data objects formed by the application program, identifying an access by the application program to a guard region arranged in the memory as a disallowed access, and modifying the execution of the application program in response to the identifying, the modifying being in order to prevent exploitation of the memory and/or to correctly execute the application program.

Transmitting the second request message is performed independent of receiving the first request message.

Abstract: A method of providing video ringback services includes receiving, at a VRBT server, a setup message from a terminal originating a call and providing providing a first message from the VRBT server to an MSC. The method also includes establishing a communication session between the terminal originating the call and the VRBT server through the bidirectional bearer, thereafter, providing a video ringback stream from the VRBT server to the terminal originating the call, and receiving a first message from a terminal terminating the call indicating that the terminal terminating the call has answered. The method further includes providing a second message from the VRBT server to the MSC, wherein the second message is interpreted at the MSC as an indication to begin charging for a session and providing a communication path between the terminal originating the call and the terminal terminating the call.

Abstract: A basket mold and a method of making a basket mold for fabricating handwoven wooden baskets and, in particular, to a multi-part mold for shaping the basket. The multi-part mold is made up from a plurality of mold sections held together in a desired shape and orientation by a fastener. Methods and systems may react to override attempts in order to provide robust theft protection. One or more control modules embedded in a work machine may be leveraged to perform theft protection services. Methods and systems may activate a first control module to restrict access to a first operational system in a work machine and activate a second control module to restrict access to a second operational system in the work machine. The first control module may detect a substitution of a new control module for the second control module and automatically configure the new control module to restrict access to the second operational system in the work machine.
