    Abstract: An embodiment in accordance with the present invention is directed to a spill-proof cup. The cup includes an innovative mechanisms to allow for a completely spill-proof and ergonomic cup. The cup functions in the same manner as a regular cup. In some embodiments the spill-proof feature of the cup is facilitated by a weight that will fall down when the cup is tilted. In other embodiments, chambers are filled with liquid to control flow and only allow the user a volume of one sip of liquid at a time. As a result of these specialized embodiments, the cup does not consume electricity, is safe to use, and costs little both to make and to purchase.

    Abstract: An embodiment in accordance with the present invention provides an orthotic device that provides a physical barrier between the thighs of the user. The orthotic device provides a physical barrier that separates the legs in order to minimize and prevent scissoring gait. The orthotic device includes specially designed blocks. The blocks separate the legs, fit comfortably against the legs, and slide back and forth against one another during the gait cycle to allow for walking movement. The blocks can be secured to the legs with straps. The straps can be exchangeable, so that a user can change them to match clothing or other color preferences. The orthotic device is useable in both indoor and outdoor settings.

    Abstract: A versatile cooking, and food and beverage handling utensil comprises a vessel made of heat-resistant material provided with an articulated handle that can assume a near horizontal cooking position or a near vertical drinking position. A heat insulating sleeve can be conveniently engaged over the vessel and locked into place by an extension of the articulated handle. A lid assembly has a sealable aperture and a pouring spout or drinking brim. A sieve press can turn the vessel into a coffee or tea brewing pot that doubles as a mug once the sleeve is installed.
