Abstract: The disclosure is directed to a high pressure fluid processing device for mixing, reacting, or otherwise combining fluids. The fluid processing device includes opposing, annular flow channels. A first fluid enters the fluid processing device and flow through one annular flow channel while the second fluid enters the fluid processing device and flow through another annular flow channel. The opposing flows of fluids collide with one another within the flow channels, and exit through an outlet.

Abstract: An improved method for cabling of data communications between data terminals and data sets in which the present invention is a cable designed to replace conventional cables that are individualized (or customized) as male/female and/or null modem cable configurations. The present invention consists of a plurality of individual wires wherein each wire is assigned an individual use and meaning whereby a minimum of two wires are assigned to each lead wire from a data terminal which does not have a corresponding lead wire on the receiving data set. The second wire is electrically connected to the first wire allowing continuity in a null modem configuration while allowing a direct connection in a straight cable configuration. With the instant invention, the use of an appropriate second wire is all that is required to create all possible combinations of male-female, straight-null cables.

Abstract: A failsafe rotary actuator having irreversible dual load paths between input and output members thereof is comprised of an input shaft journalled for rotation within a housing for the actuator, first and second sun gears secured in spaced relationship along and to the input shaft for rotation therewith, planet gears disposed for orbital rotation with and circulation about the sun gears, first and second fixed ring gears disposed for independent engagement with the planet gears, and first and second output gears disposed for independent driving contact with the planet gears; wherein a first load path is established between the first sun gear and the first output gear across the planet gears in cooperative engagement thereof with the first fixed ring gear, and a second load path is established between the second sun gear and the second output gear across the planet gears and cooperative engagement thereof with the second fixed ring gear.

Abstract: An air stair-door combination for an aircraft is described in which interference between the door and the stairway in opening and closing thereof is eliminated by delayed motion of the stairway until the door is moved through a significant portion of its travel. The stair being interconnected to the door counterbalances a portion of the weight of the door, thus decreasing power requirements for opening and closing the stairway and door. A folding handrail structure adapted to nestle into the folded stairway is described. The door and stair actuator operates on a pivot point located on the door such that initial opening movement of the door causes stair operating rods to first travel downwardly past an overcenter point, then upwardly through further movement of the pivot point. The stair segments are projected outwardly by stair actuator linkage means driven by the operating rods.
