  • Publication number: 20180167373
Abstract: Disclosed are systems and methods for improving interactions with and between computers in content searching, generating, hosting and/or providing systems supported by or configured with personal computing devices, servers and/or platforms. The systems interact to identify and retrieve data within or across platforms, which can be used to improve the quality of data used in processing interactions between or among processors in such systems. The disclosed systems and methods automatically pair and unpair hardware devices that are logged into a single account. Once a user logs into their profile associated with an online account, the disclosed systems and methods perform the novel, computerized steps of auto-pairing any or all of the other devices that are also logged into the account. The disclosed systems and methods allow any number of devices to be automatically paired or unpaired through shared password-less credentials associated with a single profile.

  • Publication number: 20180139265
Abstract: Disclosed are systems and methods for improving interactions with and between computers in content searching, generating, hosting and/or providing systems supported by or configured with personal computing devices, servers and/or platforms. The systems interact to identify and retrieve data within or across platforms, which can be used to improve the quality of data used in processing interactions between or among processors in such systems. Computer-based systems leverage information shared within an electronic computing environment in order to provide a novel framework for detecting device capabilities from broadcasted information shared by such devices, which creates more computing opportunities for direct integration of the physical world into computer-based systems, thereby improving efficiency, accuracy and cost-effectiveness in the manner media content, application program and/or computing services are provided.

  • Publication number: 20160371278
Abstract: Subjective and objective assessment attributes and measurements related to athletes are captured in an athlete assessment database. Attributes can be entered and updated by at least one evaluator in the field to the athlete assessment database using a client/server software application and mobile client devices. Following capture of the assessment attributes to assessment attribute records in the athlete assessment database, at least one ranked listing of the athletes is created based on the captured assessment attribute data, for printing, display or further use. Captured assessment attributes with relation to the athletes in question can be averaged, normalized or otherwise manipulated. A drafting interface could be provided to allow for immediate or streamlined team selection in a league. The method enhances the speed and accuracy of team selection and athlete ranking processes, over current paper based processes.

  • Publication number: 20160208569
Abstract: A method for sealing a side pocket of a downhole mandrel in a tubing string comprises retrieving a cartridge component from the side pocket of the downhole mandrel and then deploying a sealing insert into the side pocket of the downhole mandrel, wherein the sealing insert comprises a swellable sealing element on an outer surface thereof. The swellable sealing element swells to provide a seal within the side pocket. A sealing insert for use in sealing a side pocket of a downhole mandrel, includes a base member and a swellable sealing element mounted on the outer surface of the base member and configured to swell when exposed to an activator. The sealing insert is geometrically configured to permit insertion within a side pocket of a downhole mandrel such that when the sealing element is swollen the sealing element provides a seal within said side pocket.

  • Patent number: 9283734
Abstract: The present invention provides for a manufacturing apparatus for forming a ceramic preform from an extrudate having a first end and a second end. A cutter forms the first and second ends of the extrudate complementary to each other such that the first and second ends of the extrudate align with each other in a spaced relationship to define a preform having a substantially uniform exterior surface and a substantially uniform thickness. The present invention provides for a method of forming the preform from the extrudate having the first and second ends utilizing a mandrel. The method includes the step of aligning the second end complementary to the first end of the first layer in a spaced relationship to define the preform having the substantially uniform exterior surface and the substantially uniform thickness.
