  • Publication number: 20070186962
Abstract: A closed-loop wash system is provided for use with a washing assembly that includes a collection basin and a self-contained, bioremediation treatment apparatus. A housing assembly defines a plurality of chambers in series flow communication from an upstream collection chamber to a downstream clean wash fluid chamber. A central media chamber is included in upstream flow communication with the upstream collection chamber and in downstream flow communication with the downstream clean wash fluid chamber. An array of media housing microbes is disposed in the media chamber. The treatment apparatus includes a diffusion assembly configured to aerate the washing fluid contained in selected chambers. A first circulation system continuously circulates flow through the bioremediation system, while an independent second circulation system continuously circulates flow from the collection basin to the bioremediation treatment apparatus, and then back into the collection basin.

  • Publication number: 20060260658
Abstract: A closed-loop containment assembly for use with a pressure washing apparatus for washing an object having a contaminant. The containment assembly includes a collection basin adapted to collect the run-off of a washing fluid after being flowed over the object to remove the contaminant. A filter assembly includes an inlet side and an outlet side, wherein the inlet side is in fluid communication with the contaminated washing fluid collected in the basin. A vertically upstanding clarifying tank provides a relatively vertically deep flow path defined by a first baffle wall and a second baffle wall. The first baffle wall downwardly distends from a top portion of the clarifying tank to form an under weir with a bottom portion of the clarifying tank, while the second baffle wall upwardly distends from the bottom portion to form an over weir with the top portion thereof.

  • Publication number: 20060130883
Abstract: A closed-loop containment washer assembly for use with a pressure washer apparatus for washing an object containing a medium weight contaminant. The washer assembly includes a clean wash fluid basin, and a first collection basin configured and oriented to collect the run-off of a washing fluid after being flowed over the object to remove the medium weight contaminant. A first filter assembly is included having an inlet side in fluid communication with the contaminated washing fluid collected in the basin, and an outlet side for outlet flow of filtered washing fluid. A minority portion of the outlet flow is diverted into the clean wash fluid basin, and a majority portion of the outlet flow is diverted back into the first collection basin.
