  • Publication number: 20090134599
Abstract: A swivel multi-hitch includes a tongue with a first end adapted to be connected to a vehicle and a second end extending therefrom. The swivel multi-hitch also includes a swivel plate that is configured to be selectively mountable between a work orientation and a storage orientation. Furthermore, a fixation plate is connected to the tongue. When the swivel plate is disposed in the storage orientation, the hitch opening is disposed adjacent to the vehicle. When the swivel plate is disposed in the work orientation, the hitch opening is disposed extended from the ball. A method for using a swivel multi-hitch on a vehicle is also disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20080314300
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to the spreading system of broadcast spreaders, and in particular, to a spreader disengagement plate and method of use thereof for selectively engaging a rotatable spreader plate by coupling and uncoupling the different elements of a drive mechanism. A folded, U-shaped metal disengagement plate having a central pivot is connected to an axle. By pushing on either end of the pivoting disengaging plate, a user rotates the disengagement plate from an open configuration to a locked configuration and back. When in an open configuration, the disengagement plate remains immobile while the broadcast spreader is moved. When in the locked configuration, the disengagement plate rotates in conjunction with the wheel. In one embodiment, a lock nut is placed on the external surface of the wheel hub and must be inserted within the folded, U-shaped metal disengagement plate in the locked configuration.

  • Patent number: 7425016
Abstract: A ball hitch coupler including first and second sidewalls spaced apart and generally parallel. First and second pins extend transversely between the first and second sidewalls spaced apart along a length of the first sidewall and the second sidewall. At least one of the first and second pins is removable and the first and second pins are disposed adjacent a neck portion of a ball to movably connect the ball hitch coupler to the ball between the first pin and the second pin.

  • Publication number: 20080078850
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to an improved broadcast deflector plate designed to create a cascade-like deflection of material over a series of angled tabs separated by open intervals where indirect flow is created. A first volume of material falls without deflection directly through the open intervals onto the spreader plate at a first position, and a second volume of material is deflected by the tabs to a preferential location closer to the center of the spreader plate at a second position, the presence of the openings between the tabs allowing for a third volume of material to cascade in all directions around the tabs and reach all intermediate positions on the spreader plate.

  • Publication number: 20080000651
Abstract: The present disclosure relates generally to a plug aerator designed as a ground-engaging implement, and more particularly, to a plug aerator equipped with a multiposition lever where the lever is cleared from the weight stacking area in both engaged and disengaged configurations, and where the lever is placed substantially along a main shaft in a stored configuration. Plug aerator wheels are also placed under the main body portion between implements with plugs. The use of a notch pin on the disengaging system of the lever allows for a built-in safety protection of the disclosure against backlash from shocks and bumps while in operation.

  • Publication number: 20070284851
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a powered towing tongue, and more particularly, to an actuated power tongue consisting of at least two tongue members joined directly or indirectly by an actuator for moving a mount located in the back of a towing hitch from a first position to at least a second position along a radial path. In a second embodiment, the actuated power tongue is attached to a strap joining the at least two tongue members to move the mount located behind a towing hitch from a first position to at least a second position along a radial path commonly referred to as a lateral displacement.

  • Patent number: 7063165
Abstract: A planar, turf cutter blade formed from either high carbon or stainless steel has planar cutting teeth that extend radially from the periphery of a central part of a planar disc in which a centrally located hole is formed. A turf aerator that uses the turf cutter blades aerates turf by slicing or cutting turf and does not punch holes into the turf.
