  • Publication number: 20240134326
Abstract: There is described a smart building data connector, and method thereof, of a building management system. The connector receives change of value data from a local data device and generates processed data based on the change of value data and mapping data correlating the local data device to a remote cloud device. The connector attempts to transmit the processed data to the remote cloud device. The connector generates buffer data in response to determining that the remote cloud device is not ready to receive the processed data or the processed data has not been transmitted properly to the remote cloud device. Data analytics are determined based on the change of value data, the processed data, and the buffer data, and an action is performed at the remote cloud device based on the results of the data analytics.

  • Publication number: 20240135470
Abstract: There is described a smart building data connector, and method thereof, of a building management system. A payload of a local data device is identified for transmission to a remote cloud device. The connector determines whether a remote cloud device is ready to receive the payload. The payload is transmitted to the remote cloud device in response to determining that the remote cloud device is ready to receive the payload. The connector determines whether the payload has been transmitted properly to the remote cloud device in response to transmitting the payload to the remote cloud device. The payload is buffered in response to determining that the remote cloud device is not ready to receive the payload or the payload has not been transmitted properly to the remote cloud device.

  • Publication number: 20220284895
Abstract: There is described a building automation system for controlling conditions of a room. The building automation system comprises a room device, a first interface, a second interface, and a managing device. The first interface receives a voice command based on a voice utterance detected in the room by the voice enabled system. The second interface (324) receives a hospitality user profile from a hospitality information system. The hospitality user profile identifies one or more user parameters associated with the room. The managing device of the building automation system includes a guest room profile that identifies one or more room parameters associated with the room. The managing device controls the room device based on the voice command, the hospitality user profile, and the guest room profile.

  • Publication number: 20080289005
Abstract: A method for generating and digitally authorizing a report indicating the performance conditions of a facility are provided. The method is intended for use in allowing facility managers to document the performance of their facilities. The present invention allows a user to generate a PDF report indicating the status of facility that can be digitally authenticated by the user. Any attempted modifications of a digitally authenticated report are documented so that the accuracy of the report can be verified.

  • Patent number: 7283936
Abstract: A building control system, such as an HVAC system, has a field unit incorporating a control panel (a field panel) with a local user interface allowing user selected parameters for collecting trend information when the system detects a change of value for a point in the system or a timed instruction in the memory of the field panel to begin collecting trend data for a point. The resulting trend data collected by the field panel can be uploaded to a workstation in the building control system, where the trend data can be formatted into a report, and then digitally authenticated.
