Abstract: An apparatus to test, at home, the firmness of a sleep surface to be used by an infant is disclosed. The apparatus is based on the home version of the Australian/New Zealand Standard AS/NZS 8811.1:2013. The apparatus comprises two pieces, one piece is the support to hold a defined weight, and the other piece is used as a scale to visualize how much the piece with the weight sinks into the sleep surface.

Abstract: Two methods to attach a webbing or ribbon to a quick release buckle, and a quick release buckle for the use of the two methods are disclosed. Quick release buckles are designed to be used with webbing that is sewn to be attached to the quick release buckle, but for this invention two methods that do not require a sewing process are disclosed. One method uses a knot, and the other method uses a melted-solidified-end made on the webbing or ribbon using a melting method such as a flame or a hot iron or an ultrasonic welder.

Abstract: A method and device for limiting the displacement of a human body without restricting natural movements are disclosed. The device is an anchor that is anchored to a bedsheet. The method describes the use of the anchor with a connecting element such as a ribbon. One end of the connecting element is attached to the anchor and the other end to a garment or harness at the perineal region of a human body. The main application of the method and device is to keep a child in a bed without the risk of falling out of bed, but applies to any person, lying down or sitting, regardless of age.

Abstract: A device for exercising the gluteal muscles. The device is simple, small, portable, and lightweight, comprised of a half roll with a handle in each end. The user, facing down on top of the device at the level of the hip bones, must keep the legs high in a cantilever position which will exercise the gluteal muscles. To keep the legs in cantilever, the hamstrings muscles, lower back muscles, arm muscles, and core muscles are also exercised; the latter muscles are especially exercised if the upper body does not rest on a surface and is used for balance.
