  • Patent number: 9723092
Abstract: A system is presented that enables the control and/or monitoring of an electronic device by a remote terminal via a wireless network. The system includes a remote terminal from which a user accesses an application for controlling and monitoring the electronic device. The application is processed through an application program interface to configure the application for the remote terminal. The configured application is then accessible through a network communication for execution by the remote terminal. The server or system offering the configured application may also act as a proxy between the user terminal and the electronic device, for wireless monitoring or control of the electronic device while the user terminal executes the application.

  • Patent number: 9124436
Abstract: A method of notifying a mobile station regarding data usage with a plan limit includes tracking an amount of data usage consumed by the mobile station. A first data usage limit and a first data usage time frame are determined from a user account. A comparison is made of the data usage to the first data usage limit and a present time to the first data usage time frame. From this comparison, a projected data usage amount is determined and whether the projected data usage exceeds the first data usage limit. If exceeded, the system analyzes a second data usage limit to determine if it is greater than the projected data usage amount. If greater, the server provides a message to the mobile station notifying the user of the projected overage and suggestions to change to a new plan offering the second data usage limit.

  • Patent number: 9043455
Abstract: A method is presented that enables an electronic device, having embedded wireless data communication capabilities, to be controlled from a remote terminal via a wireless network. The method includes recognizing the device, associating the device with a user, and accessing an application. The application relates to monitoring or control of the device. The application is processed through an application program interface to configure the application for a user terminal. The configured application is then accessible through a network communication for execution by the user terminal. The server or system offering the configured application may also act as a proxy between the user terminal and the electronic device, for wireless monitoring or control of the electronic device while the user terminal executes the application.

  • Publication number: 20120330792
Abstract: Enterprises participating in a marketplace exchange communications involving mobile data transport bundles. In the marketplace, a data transport bundle (DTB) is purchased from a mobile network provider. The DTB may be partitioned for use by the enterprise. The enterprise can also search the marketplace to identify relevant enterprises with which to propose combining DTBs. Proposals to create a network transport service using a combination of DTBs, which is to be supplied to mobile device end users, are exchanged using a web portal. The web portal is configured to search for and identify enterprises having mobile DTBs in addition to exchanging the proposals. After an agreement is reached, the service is able to be offered to users of the network provider.

  • Patent number: 7403767
Abstract: A method of operating a cellular telephone system includes detecting that a first telephone call to a cellular telephone cannot be completed due to a lack of wireless connection to the cellular telephone. The method further includes detecting that the cellular telephone is re-connected to the system. In response to detecting that the cellular telephone is re-connected, data is sent to the cellular telephone, the data being indicative of the first telephone call. The method also includes storing the data in a missed call list in the cellular telephone.
