  • Patent number: 9713323
Abstract: A dispenser for dispensing a fish attracting liquid during a fishing experience at the discretion of an angler. The dispenser includes a housing having a portion that is hollow; and a reservoir for containing a fish attracting liquid defined in the hollow portion of the housing and including a wall in common with the housing. The wall in common with the reservoir and the housing have at least one hole in communication with the housing exterior. An elongated plunger mounted in the reservoir has a portion extending outside the housing and the plunger has a piston fixed thereto intermediate its ends with a first face of the piston for contacting the fish attracting liquid in the reservoir and a second face for contacting the wall in common with the reservoir. A device is manually operable by an angler for causing the plunger to be pushed into the reservoir to force fish attracting liquid out of at least one through hole extending from the first face to the second face of the piston.

  • Patent number: 9105191
Abstract: A group or solo monitoring system and method for collision avoidance that uses a transceiver circuitry mounted on a vehicle. The circuitry can include a microprocessor, a memory having stored therein non-transitory instructions for programming the microprocessor, a visual indicator, an audio indicator, a user interface including a display screen and navigation buttons, an RF transceiver with antenna, and a power supply. Non-transitory instructions stored in memory configure and control the microprocessor to enable a user to enter data into the memory via the user interface via the display screen and navigation buttons. A vehicle group can be formed and a proximity perimeter created about the group. Visual and audio alerts are issued to avoid a collision in the event that a non-group vehicle has been detected as having penetrated the proximity perimeter and is closing in on at least one vehicle of the group.

  • Patent number: 8548422
Abstract: A versatile personal emergency, especially medical emergency, communication system includes a user-carried portable communication unit having a single button, which when depressed by the user, wirelessly sends a call request signal to a base unit. The base unit initiates a telephone call through a dial-up network to an emergency response center and places an operator at the emergency center in wireless voice communication with the portable unit when the call is connected. The telephone number of the emergency responder to be called is stored in the system. A program is used to set up the system to a selected one of a central monitoring station and a 911 operator. Voice messages are stored in the system and are used to advise the user of the status of the call, and to provide the user with verbal confirmation that functional systems of the base unit are operating properly. The units are programmable selectively by phone, voice or computer.

  • Publication number: 20130162423
Abstract: Various methods and systems related to monitoring the activity of a person receiving assistance from a caregiver are described. In one embodiment, a method for monitoring care receiver (CR) activity includes obtaining an indication that a CR has left a rest location. In response, a sensor of a predefined zone of activity is enabled. A notification is provided in response to activation of the sensor by activity of the CR. In another embodiment, a CR monitoring system includes an occupancy sensor configured to provide an indication that a CR has left a rest location, another sensor configured to monitor CR activity with respect to a zone of activity, and a monitoring device in communication with both sensors. The monitoring device is configured to enable the other sensor in response to an occupancy sensor indication and provide a notification in response to activation of the other sensor by CR activity.

  • Patent number: 6363943
Abstract: A method for applying nail paint to a finger or toe nail in which a positive image Is established in a cutout defined on a plate. Nail paint is applied to the cutout to create a negative representation of the negative image in nail paint. The representation of the image in nail paint is picked up and transferred onto a nail of a person. The picked up representation is rotated through one revolution during the transfer.

  • Patent number: 6347635
Abstract: A hand operated self-contained apparatus for applying an image on a nail of a person's digit or an object that has an integrally molded base having a reference line indicated and a supporting area for receiving an image creating plate containing at least one image for creating thereon an image composed of an image defining coating material. A digit positioning member is mounted on the base and positions a person's digit relative to the location of the created image. A transfer member is mounted on the base and moves between the image creating plate and the person's nail. The transfer member contains a squeegee for removing excess coating material from an image and a pick up pad for picking up a created image. The positioning member has one element mounted and biased for movement vertically for holding the end of the digit and another element mounted and biased for movement horizontally against which the end of the digit or object abuts.

  • Patent number: 6345470
Abstract: A self-contained automatic watering method and system for plants that includes a container made up of an inner and outer pot nested together to define an annular space which serves as a reservoir for water to be used for watering a plant held in the inner pot. A distributor in the form of an inclined wall is located on the container at least partially surrounding a plant held in the container. A housing is easily detachably mounted on said container and extends into the reservoir. The housing contains a pump, a motor to drive the pump, and a conduit leading from the pump to the distributor for directing water into a plant held in the inner pot, and a controller for controlling the motor to initiate watering cycles according to a preselected program regarding the frequency of watering and quantity of water.

  • Patent number: 6189541
Abstract: A hand operated self-contained machine made out of molded plastic for applying an image on a nail of a person's digit or a golf ball includes a base frame including side rails. An element is provided to establish a reference point. An image creating holder is integrally molded to the side rails. A wheel having projections holding a plate containing a plurality of images is supported on the holder and can be indexed to any one of a plurality of positions by the interaction of the projections and the holder. An image composed of an image defining coating material is created at one image position on the plate. A positioning member receives and adjustably positions a person's digit or object in an appropriate orientation relative to the reference point. A transfer member is mounted on the side rails and a manually operable drive member drives the transfer member in a continuous smooth movement. A method is provided wherein the support of the image plate is indexed to present a new image.
