  • Patent number: 11990211
Abstract: Systems and methods for tracking samples via sample tracking chains are presented. Sample tracking chains represent digital data structures instantiated according to intrinsic properties of a sample. Each link in the chain is a block of data representing an observed intrinsic state of the sample and is linked at least to a previous block representing a previous state. The sample tracking chain and blocks can be indexed for later retrieval by the intrinsic properties of the corresponding sample's state. The sample tracking chain can take the form of a blockchain possibly stored as part of a private or public distributed ledger. Disclosed sample tracking chains provide a full life cycle audit trail for sample processing.

  • Patent number: 11986283
Abstract: A method for detecting cough sounds from a sound wave of a subject includes applying features extracted from the sound wave to at least two electronic pattern classifiers including a first classifier trained to detect an explosive phase of a cough and a second classifier trained to detect one or more post-explosive phases of the cough sound. The features extracted from the sound wave are applied to the second classifier after the first classifier has classified features of the sound wave as an explosive phase of a cough sound.

  • Publication number: 20240163945
Abstract: A communication system and method for supporting a plurality of vehicle-to-everything radio access technologies (V2X RATs) is provided. The communication system configured to support multiple V2X RATs transmits, using a first V2X RAT, an indication of its availability to support an interworking function between the plurality of V2X RATs. The communication system receives an instruction to provide the interworking function between different V2X RATs. The interworking function may be incorporated in a vehicle that is joined to a platoon configured to use a first V2X RAT, and provide the interworking function between the first and a second V2X RAT. The interworking function may be used to add further vehicles to the platoon that communicate using only the second V2X RAT.

  • Publication number: 20240152306
Abstract: A server provides image data including detailed geometry and shading information for one of more objects in a scene from a last known camera orientation and placement (a “first camera view”) and a height map indicating a distance from the first camera view to each pixel of the image. The image data and the height map are collectively referred to as a “parallax pixel map”. A client device receives the parallax pixel map from the server and updates the parallax pixel map based on a current camera orientation and placement (a “first camera view”). The client device projects the updated parallax pixel map onto the image of the scene based on the current camera view to generate a current display frame. The client device then provides the current display frame for display.

  • Publication number: 20240148095
Abstract: Protective devices, such as, for example, helmets, have one or more efficient, fluid-containing shock absorbers in place of protective devices' original shock absorbing material to minimize the overall weight of the protective devices. The more efficient, fluid-containing shock absorbers yield improved impact force attenuation but occupy substantially less volume and, consequently, less weight, than the original shock absorbing material.
