  • Publication number: 20240047770
Abstract: This disclosure generally relates to one or more safety mechanisms of a rechargeable battery for light electric vehicles. The rechargeable battery may include a housing containing a battery management system and at least one battery cell, and a communication system communicatively coupled to the battery management system, where the communication system wirelessly communicates information received from the battery management system to a device external to the rechargeable battery. The rechargeable battery may include a housing formed of a first clamshell member and a second clamshell member. The rechargeable battery may include a first protrusion portion extending from an interior surface of the first clamshell member and a second protrusion portion extending from the interior surface of the second clamshell member toward the first protrusion portion such that the first and second protrusion portions physically contact one another when a force is applied to an external surface of the housing.

  • Publication number: 20230090397
Abstract: A device configured to administer a medication can comprise a lower housing that includes a housing latch. The device can further comprise a needle guard that is movable relative to the lower housing along a first direction from a first position to a second position so as to expose a needle, and an upper housing supported relative to the lower housing. The upper housing can be configured to move with respect to the lower housing along a second direction from a pre-use position to a dispensed position. The housing latch can releasably interfere with the upper housing when the upper housing is in the pre-use position so as to prevent the upper housing from moving toward the dispensed position, and the movement of the needle guard toward the second position, causes the interference to be removed, thereby allowing the upper housing to move toward the second position.

  • Publication number: 20230084730
Abstract: Coating compositions comprising a polymer binder and a sphere selected from porous metal oxide spheres formed from metal oxide particles and having, e.g., an average porosity of from 0.10 to 0.90; polymer spheres formed from a multimodal distribution of polymer particles; or mixtures thereof, are described herein. The sphere enhances the reflective characteristics of the coating compositions with respect to electromagnetic radiation. In particular, the coating compositions when dried, can exhibit UV reflectance, visible light reflectance, IR reflectance, or a combination thereof.
