  • Publication number: 20230019331
Abstract: In an embodiment, a method for controlling a printer is provided. The method includes: receiving a set of parameters associated with a printer by a computing device, wherein the printer is depositing ink on a substrate to generate a line; measuring a width of the line by the computing device; receiving a duty cycle associated with the printer by the computing device; using the received duty cycle, the set of parameters, and a model, estimating one or more unknown parameters of the set of parameters by the computing device; receiving a desired width of the line by the computing device; and if the desired width is not the same as the measured width: adjusting the duty cycle associated with the printer based on the set of parameters and the model so that the measured width is closer to the desired width by the computing device.

  • Patent number: 9288449
Abstract: In one embodiment, a system and method for maintaining objects within a camera field of view include identifying constraints to be enforced, each constraint relating to an attribute of the viewed objects, identifying a priority rank for the constraints such that more important constraints have a higher priority that less important constraints, and determining the set of solutions that satisfy the constraints relative to the order of their priority rank such that solutions that satisfy lower ranking constraints are only considered viable if they also satisfy any higher ranking constraints, each solution providing an indication as to how to control the camera to maintain the objects within the camera field of view.

  • Patent number: 8401240
Abstract: A system for passively determining a speed of moving vehicles includes a single imaging device (103) for acquiring a plurality of images at a first time and at least at one second later time, wherein each image includes a moving vehicle (406) on a vehicle pathway (402) and at least one fixed object (404) proximate to the vehicle, defining a first plane (?1) intersecting an adjacent portion of the vehicle pathway (402), wherein no geometric lengths of the vehicle (406) are known a priori. The system can also include a processor (121) operable to receive data associated with the images and determine a speed of the vehicle (406) in the images, wherein the processor (121) estimates at least one geometric length of the vehicle (406) by applying homography using the plurality of images, and where the processor (121) determines a speed of the vehicle (406) from the plurality of images and the estimated geometric length using a velocity estimation method.
