  • Publication number: 20220050280
Abstract: Apparatuses, systems, and methods for modular sample holders. The microscope may direct illumination light along an illumination path towards a sample and collect light from the sample along a collection path. Light along the illumination path may pass through an immersion fluid and the material of the sample holder to reach the sample. Light along collection path may pass through the material of the sample holder and the immersion fluid. The sample holder may have a first optical surface along the illumination path which is generally perpendicular to an optical axis of the illumination path. The sample holder may have a second optical surface along the collection path which is generally perpendicular to an optical axis of the collection path. The sample holder may be modular. The sample holder may contain the sample in an enclosed channel.

  • Patent number: 10409052
Abstract: Devices and techniques for a light sheet microscope device are generally described. In some examples, the light sheet microscope may comprise a motorized movable stage comprising an optically clear glass plate. In some further examples, the light sheet microscope may comprise an illumination objective and a collection objective disposed on a first side of the optically clear glass plate. In some further examples, the light sheet microscope may comprise a wavefront- and index-matching element disposed on the first side of the optically clear glass plate. An oil layer may be disposed between the optically clear glass plate and the wavefront- and index-matching element. The oil layer, the wavefront- and index-matching element and the glass plate may have matching refractive indexes.
