    Abstract: A protocol has been developed for genetically engineering an attenuated pathogen such as the influenza virus that can grow in cells without interferons but has suppressed growth in cells with the interferons. The protocol comprises systematically identifying immune evasion functions on the pathogen's genome, then eliminating the immune evasion functions while maintaining a certain replication fitness of the pathogen. The resulting attenuated pathogen causes a strong immunologic response and can be used in a live attenuated vaccine.

A user authentication verification service receives a request to confirm the identity of a party who communicates via an unauthenticated channel. The user authentication verification service may identify a computing device associated with the claimed user identity, and may determine that the computing device (or an application installed on the computing device) can be used to authenticate the user. The user authentication verification service may thus transmit a push notification or other request to the computing device to request authentication from the user that the party claims to be or represent. The user authentication verification service may then receive information from the computing device, confirm that the information authenticates that the party is the user (or is acting on behalf of the user), and authorize communication via the unauthenticated channel.

A three-frame difference calculation may be performed on the offset images and the reference image to generate a three-frame difference output image. Clutter suppression may be performed on the three-frame difference image to generate a clutter-suppressed output image for use in target-track identification. The clutter suppression may include performing a gradient operation on a background image to remove any gradient objects.

The e-mail also includes the caller's voice and personal information, photo images of a security threat, device serial number, and a GPS location map of the caller's location. The digital signal data may be recorded and transmitted within few seconds. The victim's family or police may either check the GPS location map in an e-mail or apply a new GPS based people tracking system of the present invention to search for a missing victim.
