  • Patent number: 11382741
Abstract: A prosthetic heart valve includes a non-collapsible annular frame extending between an inflow edge and an outflow edge, the frame having a plurality of annularly spaced commissure posts adjacent the outflow edge. A valve assembly including a plurality of leaflets is connected to the frame. The frame includes a weakened portion such that the frame is expandable from an initial condition having a first diameter to an expanded condition having a second diameter larger than the first diameter when a radially outward force is applied to an inner surface of the frame. A stabilizing strut may be positioned adjacent the weakened portion to reinforce the frame. The prosthetic heart valve may include an expandable ring positioned around the expandable frame.

  • Publication number: 20190224450
Abstract: A delivery device for an implantable medical device may include an inner shaft configured to retain the implantable medical device at its distal end, an outer shaft slidably disposed about the inner shaft, and a locking hub affixed to the outer shaft. The locking hub may include a housing, a piston element in the housing, an actuator operatively coupled to the piston element, and a clamping gasket made of a compressible material and disposed in the housing. The actuator may be movable relative to the housing between unlocked and locked conditions. The clamping gasket may have a lumen defining a first diameter with the actuator in the unlocked condition and a second diameter with the actuator in the locked condition, the second diameter being less than the first diameter. The outer shaft and the locking hub may be fixed to the inner shaft with the actuator in the locked condition.
