Abstract: The invention relates to a modular system and method for converting sinusoidal AC waves into a DC pulse train of extremely narrow pulse width which are amplified and directed to a fast switching power transistor. When the power transistor conducts, DC current flows from the module through the load for a time interval equal to the rectangular pulse width. The resting time between pulses, which is considerably greater than the pulse width, accounts for a significant saving in energy.
