Abstract: This invention provides a system and method that performs 3D imaging of a complex object, where image data is likely lost. Available 3D image data, in combination with an absence/loss of image data, allows computation of x, y and z dimensions. Absence/loss of data is assumed to be just another type of image data, and represents the presence of something that has prevented accurate data from being generated in the subject image. Segments of data can be connected to areas of absent data and generate a maximum bounding box. The shadow that this object generates can be represented as negative or missing data, but is not representative of the physical object. The height from the positive data, the object shadow size based on that height, the location in the FOV, and the ray angles that generate the images, are estimated and the object shadow size is removed from the result.

Abstract: A dental floss holder with improved structure includes a main body, a restraining apparatus for tightening dental floss, a hollow shaft portion, a releasing apparatus, a clean portion having a pair of U-shaped fork arms for cleaning teeth, a connecting arm for connecting the main body and the clean portion, and dental floss, wherein the main body includes an assembly portion assembled and communicating with a supply portion adapted for accommodating dental floss, and a bottom case covering the main body. The assembly portion defines an axial hole thereon. The restraining apparatus is assembled on the assembly portion with a hollow post inserted through the axial hole. The hollow shaft portion is rotatably mounted to the hollow post in the assembly portion. The releasing apparatus disposed on the bottom case for releasing the dental floss to be replaced.

The fork is fitted on the position base, the block member is assembled on the housing, the retaining portion is assembled on the bottom board, and the spool, the fasten wheel, the retrieving wheel, the sleeve are defined to coaxially assemble with the assembling zone.

Abstract: A dental floss holder for storing and manipulating dental floss used for cleaning a person's teeth includes a housing, a handle, a spool member, a position mechanism and a scraping member. The housing includes a first case and a second case both being engagable with each other, wherein the first case has an accommodation for accommodating the spool member. The handle communicates with the first case and is cooperatively defined by integrally extending from the first and second case, the handle having a penetrate hole located at one end thereof. A user can draw out the floss through the penetrate hole to a desired length and can manipulate the handle together with the floss for dental cleaning without putting the user's finger to the mouth.
