  • Patent number: 4399263
Abstract: Elastomeric ethylene/alkyl acrylate/1,4-butenedioic acid ester copolymers are stabilized against variations in cure characteristics by reaction of such polymers with amines, perferably during isolation of such polymers. In addition, substantial increase in the molecular weight of such polymers is achieved if the amines are di- or polyamines.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: December 24, 1981
Date of Patent: August 16, 1983
Assignee: E. I. Du Pont de Nemours & Co.
    Inventor: Nicolas Brodoway
  • Patent number: 4307007
Abstract: The antisticking and antiblocking properties of ethylene/methyl or ethyl acrylate/1,4-butenedioic acid monoalkyl ester terpolymers is improved by mixing with said terpolymer a small quantity of a C.sub.12 -C.sub.24 straight chain alkyl or alkenyl acid phosphate or a C.sub.12 -C.sub.24 straight chain alkyl- or alkenyloxypoly(ethyleneoxy) acid phosphate.

Date of Patent: December 22, 1981
Assignee: E. I. Du Pont de Nemours and Company
    Inventor: Nicolas Brodoway
  • Patent number: 4102801
Abstract: Solventless process of reacting polyamine having two primary amino groups adsorbed on a particulate carrier with carbon dioxide to obtain the free-flowing corresponding polyamine carbamate-carrier mixture.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: March 24, 1977
Date of Patent: July 25, 1978
Assignee: E. I. Du Pont de Nemours and Company
    Inventor: Nicolas Brodoway
  • Patent number: 3987126
Abstract: A fluoroelastomer composition which is very useful for the manufacture of cured fluoroelastomer articles having desirable chemical and heat resistance combined with excellent low temperature flexibility can be prepared by blending specified amounts of the following: (A) an elastomeric copolymer of tetrafluoroethylene, a perfluoroalkyl perfluorovinyl ether and a bromine-containing olefin and (B) a certain fluoropolymer having perfluoroalkyl end groups containing an iodine atom; and when making the cured articles, it also preferred to add (C) an organic peroxide curing agent, (D) a co-curing agent such as triallyl isocyanurate and (E) a suitable metal compound such as a divalent metal oxide or hydroxide.
